this  time  im  staying  at  jomptien  beach

anyone  know  the  bars  and hot places  to  go

other  than  the  winchester which  i  already  know

only  visited  jomptien  once  or  twice  for  the  beach

so dont  know the  area

While the rest of the board members are busy working up lists of bars, let me slide in a recommendation of a good Jomtien eatery.  If you head opposite from Pattaya on the beach road until you come to the bend where the road turns away from the beach, there is a popular seafood restaurant - just off that bend.  I forget the Thai name but I believe it translates as Uncle Wu's.  Enjoy.

Well, let me also suggest a restuarant.

 

Between Pattaya and Jomtien on the main road, across from View Talay Towers, is a place called Pan Pan.

 

It is an Italian food joint.  Really good food.  Plus, home make baked deserts and home mad icecream.  usually about 10 flavors of icecream.

 

Cool stop for dinner or afternoon.

On the road back up from the beach near Jomtien Condo towers....

 

Beach end of the road, KR Bar is very good with plenty of happy ladies. Further up is Woaw's Bar which has a big TV and good pool table.

 

In Soi White House (off Beach Rd) there's a great little place called the Euro Butterfly Bar.

Archie is right KRBar near the corner that starts Jomtien Beach road is byfar the best in Jomtien.

but  what  a shitter,i dont  like  seafood

if  i  did  id  be  in  heaven  in  pattaya

im  staying  at  the  jomptien boathouse  but  not  sure which end  of  jomptien it  is

also  how much  is  the  baht  bus  fare  from  jomptien  to  pattaya as i  will probably  be  using them  a  lot

I think I paid about 10 Bath for the Bath bus from Jomtien to Pattaya.

Corner of second road and south pattaya road always worked for me.  Any recommendations on a condos for rent for 12000-18000 baht a month in Jomtien? I'm retirng in 1 year, have no intentions of returning to the USA to live. thanks

As far as BB fare from Jomtien to Pattaya, I always par 10B if I am going to South Pattaya, if I am going further like to Soi 7 for breakfast I pay 20B. Also note if you are going just a short distance like from walking street to Royal garden plaza I pay 5B.

 

To catch a BB back to Jomtien just start walking down second road from anywhere past south Pattaya road & one will be by within seconds or if you are on beach road just point toward second road then back right towards Jomtien and the BB driver will either shake his head yes or no, once or twice after this more people hopped in to go back the other way so when he got to the corner of second rd & s. Pattaya just hop out and pay 5B and catch another one from there.
