Thanks for that Brownie ...

Under 80k for BKK-MAN-BKK. I might make the Hearts v Hibs final after all!

Isn't that extremely expensive for economy? Is the ticket business class?

Yes that price is Biz.

Only valid for completed journeys up to 6th June, otherwise I would have been disgruntled that I overpaid!

I tried a return from BKK to San Francisco, CA. It wasn't cheap at all (85k THB), but it was going west over Europe and the entire USA, so it was a long journey. Oh well.

Yeah they don't cross the Pacific and obviously originate from Doha.... looks like you have to go via NY, Washington or Houston.

BKK - DOHA- London - NY-SF, as I recall...a lot of travel time.

Hadn't realised you had to change in LHR, but the one I looked at transferred to United for direct LHR-SFO. Quite a price too!

I used to do that route a lot (excluding BKK), Dhahran-LHR-SFO but always with BA.

When I flew to SFO we went over more of Canada than the USA!

Lets hope( as has happened in the past) that one of Emirates/Qatar/Etihad have a sale covering the autumn period.

Interesting to see prices in Sept with the three middle east carriers ex Manchester. Prices are for short layovers :-

Emirates 564

Qatar 551

Etihad 549

Is a cartel operating here ????
