I just got a msg from Air Asia advising my flights now changed from Swampy to Don Muang OCT/NOV

So just to confirm.... are those international flights?

I'm not taking a 2 suiter and a carry-on on the train between airports,no matter the fare.Anybody have an idea what the taxi fare will be and also the driving time, both rush hour and not?

I'm sure someone has made the trip recently, but when I did it pre-Swampy, I don't seem to remember it being that long (30 minutes???) on a week-end day before going past the sign for the new airport location. Still not a treat.

Thanks for that. That is do-able.But what a PITA to change airports when it was so easy before.I felt the need to whine momentarily.

Taxi fare works out approximately 400 or so baht including toll road fees. Time taken without too much traffic approximately 40 minutes as a rough guide.

Yes.I was looking to fly to PP for a month.I checked the fares on Thai and the difference was HUGE.I will check Bangkok Airways next. When I last flew a while back, the fare difference between BKK Air and Air Asia was also huge and the flights arrived ww/i an hour of each other.

I should have been more clear. When I said "they",I meant a bus company or AOT,not Air Asia.

Air Asia themselves will not be running a shuttle bus as ALL their flights, both international and domestic will be at don Muang airport from Oct 1.

It might help to comprehend a bit more about your installation. CPU and OC information would help guage which end of the industry you should be looking at. I can see the CPU in your sig but no concept what you are operating it at.
