Possible to rent an boat from Pattaya to Koh Chang?

Hey I am in Pattay in this moment and want to go on tomorrow to Koh Chang.

 

And I am thinking if it is possible ot rent an boat and go direct without taxi from Pattaya to Koh Chang and how much this will round about cost and what time it take.

 

Does anyone know this?

Checking my handy GPS and google earth:

Bali hai Pier is at 12 55.181N and 100 52.315E

The hotel I stayed at on Koh Chang is 12 2.043N 102 17.558E

 

That would make the trip around 230 km.

Nnot sure the cost but would have to be a fast boat to make it in a reasonable time.

If time and money were not an issue I am sure it would be a splendid trip along the coast. Good idea and I hope you get to do it....and send in a trip report..

I also think interesting - but not find anyone that want to do - so i book taxi for tomorrow...
