Recently stayed at D Apartments on Soi Boakhao, near Pattaya Klang. I was looking for an inexpensive room for a few days and a place that has 24 hour reception since I was arriving in Pattaya around 2:00 AM.

D Apartments has two buildings, an older building with stairs and no lift, and a newer building with a lift and nicer amenities. I stayed in the older building, 600 bhat a night. The room was basic but clean with a large and comfy bed. Wifi was fast and free. Two bottles of complimentary water a day. Staff was excellent and friendly. Water pressure was a little weak but sufficient to get the job done.

One small hiccup on check in. When I initially emailed them for a reservation D Apartments asked me to email them my credit card information and they would charge the first two nights lodging to hold the reservation. I initially refused to email my credit card information. After some back and forth they said they would reserve the room for me without the CC information but I then relented and sent them the required info. The charged the first two nights accommodation and emailed me a receipt.

When I arrived the desk clerk said there were no 600 baht rooms available and that they only had their most expensive room (1500 baht a night) available. I told him I've already been charged for the first two nights for the 600 baht room and produced my receipt. He seemed surprised to see it and said okay and gave me keys to a 600 bhat a night room and asked to keep the receipt I had to show his boss. My suspicion is someone forgot they billed me for two nights since I initially declined to give my CC info.

After the initial hiccup everything was fine with my stay there and I would recommend if someone is looking for affordable accommodations on Soi Boakhao.

Not too bad for 600 baht but if you want a balconey then you have to fork out 1100 to 1300 baht depending on the season. There are cheaper options than that in Pattaya.

all hotels in that area have bed bugs, no security, and room break-ins except LK properties according to police friends.

And you would have thought that the police had better things to do than check for bedbugs :clueless

try

soidb.com

it has most rooms that are available in Pattaya

hotels, apartments etc

and you can search by area

That's a useful looking link +1

Criminal bed bug gangs. I say jail the little critters , as probation never works.

:bhappy :bhappy That'll fix 'em for sure.... people tell me they can rip the safe off the wall and carry it across reception without anyone spotting them - sneaky! (Then straight back to bed!)
