Rumour doing the rounds at Manchester Airport is that Singapore Airlines will drop the Manchester/Munich sector

and announce a return to direct flights Manchester-Singapore with frequency 6 x weekly. New service to commence Oct12.

Good news for us BKK flyers, I was certainly put off SQ because of this extra stop... and their Biz Class prices of course.

Their 777ER product is one of the few offerings where economy class is bearable. For me, they are currently offering 1,440 SGD from Singapore to Manchester return - that's a comparatively decent 36k Baht in real money.

Singapore Airlines Plans Daily Munich / Manchester Service in W12

As per 13AUG12 GDS timetable and inventory display, Singapore Airlines from 28OCT12 is once again operating Singapore – Munich - Manchester service on daily basis.

The airline currently operates this route 6 times a week. Schedule from 28OCT12:

SQ327 MAN0855 – 1200MUC1310 – 0750 SIN 77W D
