Haha.. Finally a bit of realism here. I doubt you're a kopite though, according to them a top four finish is still on the cards!

The problems at Liverpool will continue for as long as they continue to believe they are a a big club. The entire club needs restructuring form the bottom up and they badly need a new ground to replace the tin shit house they call Anfield. Anyway, who cares? I hope they get relegated.

My beloved "Surging" Stoke City on a roll. :clueless :ninja:

Fook me we have "Sunderlanditis" ... can't score of late. A tough schedule at the start of the season but we need to start winning a few now against the minnows.

Chelsea looking the most balanced team of the big guns so far but Torres is proving very wasteful up front.

Man U have the umbrella formation. Strong at the top and the sides but below that they look vulnerable. De Gea a major liability and totally clueless on how to handle crosses. The guy simply lacks presence in a very important position.

Massive overhaul at Liverpool. Despite the cock-up with missing out on Dempsey and Carroll's bizarre departure, the Kop are starting to play some attractive footy. I can see Liverpool finishing the season strongly though a top four could be out of their reach.

This season's Arsenal squad is a lucky dip team. So many Gunners playing out of position that you don't know what you will get. Back four looked strong initially but the thrill has gone.

Spurs? AVB=VD. Pure poison to the team. Gareth Bale at left back??? :clueless :a2m

WBA, Everton and the Hammers all out of the blocks fast. Of those I only expect the Toffees to maintain the pace.

C'on Stoke! :thumbup :chogdee2

Hi,

I think Wengers greatest achievement has been the building of the new stadium. It will help sustain Arsenal for many years to come. Liverpool and Tottenham are trying to do the same but it's hard in this business environment.

Hi,

I think Pulis is a championship manager. Him and O'Neill should be able to buy better footballers with their Premier budgets.Look at Swansea, they play attractive football and are hard to beat with it.

Wacmedia, I tend to agree Tony Pulis looks a little lost of late as Stoke strive to play more attractive football rather than the long-ball lottery. Our ball retention is crap.

Stoke have some quality individuals (Crouch, Walters, Jones, Etherington, Kightly, Adams, Nzonzi, Shawcross and Huth, to name a few ... ok to name em all! :cry4: ) but we need to start scoring more and winning games.

No midweek distractions like last season with the Euro Cup so fatigue is no excuse. Confidence is a big factor in football (look at Sunderland's turn around last year follwoing a woeful start) and both the Potters and BCs are currently lacking in belief.

I thought Adam Johnson would be huge for the BCs but he is yet to fire.

Swansea and WBA are good role models for small clubs but let's see where they finish in May. Blackpool had a great start a few seasons back but ended up falling apart.

I think it was a great achievement but nowhere near his best. His greatest achievement has been signing some of the best players this country has seen when they were still very young and bringing periods of success, notably in '98, '02 and the season they went unbeaten in the league. Wenger is very astute in the transfer market, he just doesn't have the money available now.

Good point, but the Wenger of 10 years ago and the bloke at the helm now are worlds apart.

Are Arsenal really that cash-strapped? I don't think so. He splashed plenty of cash in the off season but wants to win the league with inexperienced lightweights.

In comparison, Mancini cherry picked some of the better players from his EPL rivals and the results showed.

Wenger doesn't buy or sell wisely any more. Arsenal have some good individual players but the team balance is way off.

Hi,

Wenger wanted Mata but couldn't compete with Chelsea. Chelsea and Man City are run by people who are throwing money at their clubs. Arsenal are being run as a business which is the way football should be run. Who would have thought such a great club such as Rangers would be playing in the lower leagues now ? Fans just want success at any cost but it can't last. Look at Portsmouth.

Yes, they are.

Wenger's certaintly looking old now, he used to be the only one looking at the young French and Spanish players. now everyhan and is dog looking at every young player. Think Arsenal's problem is they are trying to run the club properly and have a realistic wage structure. But while there are the Chelsea's and Man City's that just are willing to pay anything they have no chance of keeping their players or attracting the top stars.

Anyway what the hell as happened in Belgium, there seems to be loads of Belgium players in the premiership of a high stanard all sprung up over night. Worth an outside punt for the world cup, but really should be a South American team to win if held in Brazil

Ref's don't seem to be able to tell the difference between Hand to ball and Ball to hand. there's been some awful penalties awarded lately where the player on the ball has wacked it on to the opponents arm from 2-3 yards and penalty given.

Hi,

West Brom are the surprise team with another good win and a place in the top 6. Man Utd fight back well against Villa to go clear. Like Arsenal they look dodgy at the back. Man City v Spurs should be a good game today. Can Liverpool surprise the Champions of Europe ?

The Laws of the Game doesn't provide an awful lot of guidance for the refs - only that it is one thing that should be "taken into consideration".

Behave. Do you really think Belgium have a realistic chance of winning the world cup?

Granted but that's not the only decisions that they seem to be getting wrong frequently. I appreciate that it's a difficult job and they are under a lot of pressure but it's high time the referees were assisted with new technology that is available and made into professionals that exclusively referee and do nothing else. They should be held more accountable for their decisions and ranked accordingly.

They sure are. I tipped them to get relegated before the season started! United are certainly setting a trend now with them coming from behind to win the majority of their games. They don't seem to want to play until they are losing. Yes, their defending is poor a times but as long as they score more goals than their opponents they will always win. I am convinced they will win the Premiership this season.

Hi,

All these smaller countries have a time when they have a good run of players. It will be hard for them in Brazil, but maybe the Europeans ?

Hi,

Good performance by Liverpool at Chelsea. Spurs came up short at Man City despite some lenient refereeing by Michael Oliver. The officiating in the Premier League seems to be getting worse.

Hi,

Norwich defeat Man Utd after previous defeat of Arsenal. Good results as few teams in the lower half will achieve that this season. Man City up their game to blow away Villa. West Brom keep up their good run beating Chelsea, who seemed to have one eye on their critical Champions League game against Juventus. Reading win at last beating an in form Everton.Swansea's win at Newcastle was a surprise to many. Southampton have a great away win at QPR. Suarez again stars for Liverpool, can they hold onto him as their owners seem in financial difficulty in US ? Arsenal have a brilliant win against their greatest rivals to put both players and fans in good mood for their Champions League game against Montpelier.

Hi,

Busy week for managers in the Premier League. Di Matteo and Hughes get their walking papers. I'm glad Rafa is back. Very good manager IMO. He broke the Real/Barca monopoly in Spain with Valencia as well as getting to two Champions League finals with Liverpool.

Hi,

Swansea are the team of the weekend as they outplay the Gunners at home. Very few teams do that. Everton win an excellent point away at Man City. Man Utd look good attacking and poor defending again as they struggle to beat Reading. Rafa seems to have a big job on his hands to get the players on board after the sacking of Di Matteo The fans are unhappy as well. It wouldn't surprise me if Abramovich took his money somewhere else.

Wacmedia, your forgot West Ham and surging Stoke City ... :clap1

Good wins for both teams.

The Potters up to 9th now and the 2nd best defense in the league behind Man City.

Ya build from the back ... :bhappy

Hi,

Have to admit that Pulis and Fat Sam are among my least favourite people. However, they are playing a little better football now so I'll change my mind about them if that continues.

Hi,

Well they started with a good away point against City. :bhappy The players seem to be a law unto themselves at Chelsea. It wouldn't surprise me if the Russian walks away.

Hi,

Man Utd win the derby and put themselves in a strong postion. Only 3 shots on target and 3 goals. Wake up Joe ! Aston Villa's young team are my team of the week after standing up to a robust Stoke side. Norwich have a great away win against Swansea and Chris Hughton seems to have them on an upward curve. Southampton are a team confirming the good impression they made against the 2 Manchester teams. Everton grap late points against Spurs, happy day for Moyes and me. Rafa has first win against Sunderland and seems to have Torres in the mood again. Liverpool get a good away win against West Ham. Can they go up the League now ?
