good one,

I flew on the A380 in first class in 2009 from Dubai to Bangkok in seat 2A and they announced that the plane we were on had only been in the Emirates

fleet for 4 days.

I flew back from Bangkok to Dubai on another A380 in seat 3a and it was too bloody hot on board, so the shower was a needed item,

I am flying with Emirates again this Xmas and am booked in Business class for the flight from London to Bangkok and return and have 3 legs on the A380, one going

out and two legs on the return.

will make sure i buy a fan or two to keep cool.

That vid certainly whet's the appetite.

I looked up Emirates web site and punched in a Thursday in September for a rough price.

Only 20,000 baht (one way) for the three-hour flight first class from BKK to HKG. So roughly 50,000 yen or around US$620. Not a bad price at all for a special treat on one of the world's best airlines.

Martin and Hammer, must be time for a FLB bar crawl to Hong Kong ...

:chogdee :party :party :party :clap2 :grin-jump

Have been on Emirates A380 loads of times in business class, never found the cabins to be hot at all. Maybe just a one off or a problem with the AC on board that A380.

So 80k to take the TGF on a little trip.

Just did check for a Sept flight....62,800 baht for 2. But only 433,000 if I want to come back via Dubai.

  • 2 weeks later...

Emirates provided the best services and it is one of the best airlines in the world.

'One of the best' doesn't mean very much does it, rather non-committal actually.

I think Qatar won it again this year, Emirates was 8th.

Source.
