Strange state of affairs

Hello all.

 

It's been 6 years since I visited Pattaya and now I have a chance for a 3 day visit. I tried to enrol on a number of boards to get the up to date gossip, but I have been hit with strange states of affairs!!! This board didn't send me the validation email I waited for, yet I can join, another board Pattaya Live let me post and then I have disappeared. Pattaya Addicts, well I can't even register.

Is Pattaya such a secret these days?

 

I am coming 31 Oct-3 Nov if anyone wants to show me how it has changed in the last 6 years.

I have been recommended to stay at the Queen Vic but I haven't booked anywhere yet. Yes, Haloween, how could I forget, what happens in Pattaya then? Anything special? I've done a few witches in my time.

This board is affiliated with the FLB, yeah? That was the first bar I went to in Pattaya, first girl I took was from there, is there a Halowen party there?

Why is using TOR suspicious?

Perhaps some are more internet aware than others.

Is that why I cannot get onto other forums and get booted off another because of TOR?

I've never stayed at the Queen Vic but a lot of guys are repeat customer's. I've eaten there frequently and they serve good pub grub. Plus your in the middle of soi 6. What's not to like. Enjoy your stay.

I would think the QV would be the perfect place for someone with a long term TGF who naps or watches the soaps in the daytime, so you can go "down for a beer" or "a walk" and be getting a hummer 30 seconds later.

 

Take the same soap and shampoo as in the hotel .

Custom does not have to equal spending money, as a customer I am a client. All boards need clients otherwise they would consist of the admin and that is it.

As a customer I provide my intellectual dribblings.

Up to you, but most boards about Thailand P4P refuse registration from IP inside Thailand. Reasons are pretty obvious, like avoiding controls/spy from police or similar, or avoiding bar girls to register to read what is said about them

That's the reason why TOR and proxys are suspicious and often forbidden to register.

You are not serious, are you? Any law enforcement agency that wants to monitor/join a board will have the technology etc to do it without having to mask an IP behind TOR. And what happens to the guys who live in Thailand? I suppose they don't exist, because they have a Thai IP address and won't be allowed to join, but they can't use a proxy because they may be a policeman?

What you say makes no sense whatsoever.

 

Anyway, I may be an old Englisshman.

Yes, but a local policeman not, and the many bar girls in Thailand not.

 

I remember that this board refused 10 years ago (don't know now) to register with email from @yahoo, @hotmail or other very easy public email providors. Same reasons behind that.

 

Last: only for registration you have this constraint. I registered on several boards from my country but have no problem to use them now from Thailand.

Idefix is correct in that this board used to have such a restriction unless the poster was known in person to the admin.

 

That restriction has been lifted over the years, but some users are looked at more carefully than others, especially when they use masking to hide their origins.

Those are all legitimate reasons, but there are less than legitimate ones.

 

For example, there is a gay stalker who keeps sending me emails and seems to be obsessed with me, in spite of the fact that I route his email to spam and ignore him.

He likes to engage me in dialog on the forum or email, claims he is a great poster and adds content that he seems to think everyone is lusting for...in other words, he has an unnaturally high sense of his value. Oddly enough, every board that has tolerated him initially, has given him the toss after he becomes insufferably obnoxious, boring, and a little bit gay sounding.

 

His latest attempts to infiltrate this board have had him using TOR to mask his previously well-known IP.

 

So, perhaps you can understand why members who (1) don't bother to join the forum (2) claim their content is worth something (custom == content) (3) use TOR and (4) engage me in dialog off the topic at hand, might be considered worthy of watching.

Point taken. However I am not your gay stalker and:

1. I have joined the forum, or have I not?

2. I do not claim my content-custom is worth anything. I simply stated that my custom is their content, no posters, no board

3. I use TOR, yes, and as already agreed, it has legitimate uses

4. I have not engaged you in dialogue off the topic in hand seeing as the topic is called 'a strange state of affairs' and is about access to/joining boards

 

I hope therefore that I have assured you that I am not your gay stalker.
