You can get this sort of signal around the house with wireless cameras then you can use sites that let you upload images from those for review with any browser.

Most off-the-shelf CCTV systems have built into the software some sort of streing software. You will need a static IP address or a client to take care of that for you. You will obviously need an ok connection, I have TOT 6 meg connection and that is more than enough.

Thank you but I know that the dvr already have built-in webserver. And I can setup up a dynamic ip name using dyndns if the ip is not static. I just want to know if the 3G service can be use for hosting purpose & if not what other choice do they have? TIA.

3G service varies with mobile provider and location. If she cannot get ADSL (and it is available generally in S. Pattaya), then she can test her 3G data speeds at the location with speedtest.net.

It's hard to answer without knowing what the speeds are at that location for that mobile provider.

Where is the location? If it's close to Walking St, if I am in that area, I can do a quick speedtest using TRUE mobile.

DTAC 3 g approx 3meg up and 3meg down south Pattaya

South Pattaya is a big area...it really depends on the exact location. For example, Soi Diamond on Walking Street is nearly blind to DTAC signals.

This is far to complex to explain fully here.

1) you are considering using a 3G network to connect your dvr CCTV system to the Internet? And then access the stream via a 3 g signal or some other method.

2) I checked this dtac 3G speed and ping on walking street this evening just up from walking street bar because I am a geek and like to know these things but didn't check every nook and fanny.

3) it's very cheap to get a system installed and setup here as I did mine. A 4 camera system installed with IR and setup for remote access 14,000B. I already had Internet in the bar, tot 6 meg but can only rely on 2meg at busy times within Thailand, outside worse.

Call Apple at Miracle house. She's on Lengkee and her hotel is brand new. She can monitor her hotel from her phone and I'm sure she could tell you if she's satisfied or wishes she went in another direction.
