SEA ME SPRING TOO...........A REVIEW

Recommended Posts

I stayed at the 'Sea Me Spring Too Hotel' back in July this year (2012) and this is my review.

Construction was only completed this year (2012) and I was lucky enough to get an 'opening special' price which was AUD $55 per night.....or 1750 baht per night with agoda.

It is classed as a *** star Hotel.

I had the basic 'me' room.....while my mate took a 'sea deluxe' room for obviously more money. The rooms were much the same.....however his did have sea glimpses from the balcony. But with the construction of a new Hotel next door.....his view will soon be gone.

I very rarely use balconies.....I guess its good for smokers....and I do sometimes put my beach towel out there to dry. Personally I didnt think the extra baht for the 'sea deluxe' was worth it.

As the room was new...it was very nice and modern....with the glass see through into the bathroom set up......not so good when you wish to use the toilet in private....but there was venetions that you can shut to make it private....so all good there.

The bed.....well while ok it is the same as all I have stayed at in Pattaya Hotels and Guest Houses....too bloody hard!

Is there a Hotel in Pattaya that has softer mattresses? I guess they do take a pounding....but I do find them far to firm.....and makes for an uncomfortable nights sleep.

The rooftop pool has sensational views of Pattaya bay.....I always went up to the pool for at least an hour every day when I woke for a recovery session. Great service.....with reasonably priced drinks and food available. Towels were also supplied.

One complaint though. There is hardly any shade whatsoever.....and on a hot day it can become unbearable outside of the pool....I hope they rectify this in the near future, as it really is an obvious problem.

As for joiner fees....no problems.

Hi There, Thanks for the review. Very helpful! Does it include breakfast and by 'no joiner fees' do you mean, no extra charge for bringing a lady back? I haven't been to Pattaya for a while and have lost track of the terms used :clueless

Also is there gym?

Regards Jules

One of my favorite hotels to stay in Pattaya lately. Had some warnings about construction noise but it never bothered me. It is slightly more expensive lately and hard to get a deal but the pool on top worth every penny. Quite a few Japanese tourists but the upside of that the pool area being empty most of the time. Bad points: breakfast not included, high cancellation fee and just paid $75 for changing dates but IMHO still worth it. Lowest I paid was $55 but now in high season around $75 all added included.

No joiner fee=no extra charge for lady, even if you take 3-4/day, however there's extra charge if you take more than 1 at the same time. It could be avoided though by giving a nice tip to the night porter...

You guys know that you can purchase a hotel loyalty card (350B) that is good at both SeaMe Spring's, Sandy Spring and Summer Spring and get a 300B per night discount on rooms. This makes these hotels a very good deal for Pattaya

Currently staying at SMST's older sister which is right across the street. I have a seaview room so looking out on an as yet unblocked view, and right onto the construction mentioned in the thread already. FWIW, the construction site isn't actually adjacent, but rather one lot away. There's some noise when they start up in the mornings, but so far not that disturbing (but then again, I didn't think Areca's was either). Looking at the pictures posted above from SMS Too, my room just looks like a slightly older version of the same thing, and in relative need of some renovation. . IMO, not a bad deal at the moment given the still extant sea view, adequacy of the room in all relevant respects (incl good water pressure with hot water, decent wifi speed, in-room safe, med-size frig), location (Soi 10 just up from Beach Rd.), except possibly daytime construction noise, which as I said isn't bothering me. I may extend my stay here. In addition to SMS Too, other hotels on the soi include Page 10, Stay, and one of the Sawasdee hotels ( S Too I think).

Hey tomcat76;

If you're staying at SeaMe right now how about telling the front desk management to check their E-mail and reservation site. I've sent a couple of requests for reservation info off their website and haven't got any answers after a couple of weeks.

Plus if you got time tell the folks at SeaMeToo the same thing.

Thanks

Thanks, I don't know if it was your doing but I finally got a response from SMS2 from the several E-mails I sent them. I'm looking for a room in SEPT and later in NOV this year. I'll see what price they offer me and report.

I also requested a room at Sandy Spring for NOV and was offered a Deluxe Seaview for 1700B which is a 100B increase over last year.

How bad is the construction noise? Should the hotel be avoided until the construction is completed? Any idea when the construction would be done? Any current pictures of the area? Thanks!

I would say that is fair since hotels are booked double occupancy for the most part.

Thanks but for me this place would be a no no. I spend hours round the pool each day and in all you pix no shade whatsoever be it trees of umbarellas.

You are correct Teelak......although the roof top pool has excellent views of Pattaya Bay......there is no shade available and it is something they need to address. On a hot day with no cloud cover I just had a quick 'recovery dip' and went back to my room.
