Hello,

A lot of questions about Eastiny Place on Soi 8 so I thought I would post some pics.

I just checked out on November 10th and I would stay here again. It's a good clean hotel in the heart of Soi 8 and I paid 750 baht a night. In the past 3 months I've probably spent 45 days in Eastiny Place. IMHO it's a great value for the money. Here's the pics for you to judge for yourself.

As I understand it the rooms are non-smoking and the hotel provides a table and bench outside the elevator on each floor as a "smoking area".

I like outside corridors like these. The tiled floors are newer, clean and shiny

Decent balcony but no chairs on it

Bed is BIG and not hard as a brick...

Bath has same white tiled flooring and walls...

And for you pervs still reading here's the shower!  ;D :D

If I can answer any questions just let me know!

SoCalGuy,

I did use them. Be aware, access to the box ends at 8 or 9PM and begins at 7.30AM. So, if you have a ride to the airport that leaves before 7.30am, you need to clear your box the night before.

Cheers,

Mark

PS. I'm in Long Beach, maybe we are neighbors?

Thanks for posting the pictures.  It is nice to see what you might get.  I am trying to get a room for mid-January.  The two Eastinys seem to be a good choice.  I

like the Flipper but have heard that they are booked up.  I have read the reviews on the two Eastinys.  It is a little confusing because at times I am not sure which one they are talking about.  E. Place is nearer 2nd road and E. Inn is closer to Beach road, I think .  My question.. is one a better choice than the other?  Thanks...I do have one more question do all the rooms come with a "Shower Technician" like in the 4th picture or is she an Option? :D

Patfan,

I prefer Eastiny Place because i think the rooms are cleaner and Eastiny Place is the one closer to 2nd road although they are only 50 meters from each other. I used to stay at the Flipper..no more now that I've found Eastiny.

The shower technician operates daily in various rooms I'm quite certain. As always, it's "up to you".  ;D

Cheers,

Mark

OnMyWay,

I live in the San Diego area, but not all that far from Long Beach I guess.  Which carrier do you use when you fly out of LAX?  My favorite is Cathay Pacific.

Thanks for posting the pics!
