Beautiful 20th floor 1 bed/2bath seaview condo for rent in View Talay 5C

Recommended Posts

I am helping my friend rent his 96 sq met 1 bed/2bath condo in VT 5C. There are great seaviews from every room and the condo is well furnished with a euro kitchen. VT5C is the building closest to the beach and there is a private gated walkway to the nicest beach in Pattaya. There are also many restaurants, shops and 24/7 baht bus within a short 5-10 minute walk. The condo has 2 large balconies and 2 aircons. The ground floor level offers laundry, housekeeping and convenience shops, so its very convenient. There is a huge, well kept swimming pool with adjacent restaurant. The electric/water are paid at government rates and there is an adsl line that can be taken over and only pay the monthly billing. This condo will be available 1 Feb. for a 1 year lease only and is very well priced at 25,000 baht per month.

Rip them out. :ninja:

Yes, sliding doors would have been better, these appear hinged and there is something to stub the toe on there too.

I fall over floor fans never mind a tall thin vase full of twigs in the middle of the floor... :D

Looks like a nice place though.

Kinda looks like two Studios knocked into one. Too expensive imho but spacious.

My thought as well. To me it looks like someone bought it and doesn't intend on living there (at least for the time being.)

Nice condo, but expensive. If I were to ever rent a condo in Pattaya, I'm sure I could keep it under 15,000 baht per month.

Not expensive at all.... a 96sqm double condo would cost 30-40.000 baht in the VT2.... The unit looks nice and fresh.... the only criticism I can give is the small bed...

Maybe. I'm not familiar with the rental prices on the larger units, as I never really look at them. For me, a single unit would be fine and those are usually priced in the 15,000 baht per month range or a little less. That's all I'd really want to pay for rent in Pattaya, in any event. Of course, purchasing s place would be another matter. If I were to do that, I'd want the place to be as nice as possible, within a reasonable price range.

Yep. A nice condo in the 15K baht range. I think that's the kind of thing most guys would be looking for. Someplace nice, but not too expensive. Perhaps someone on a short term holiday wouldn't mind a higher price, but for the long term renter, 25K baht seems like a lot of money to be throwing away every month unnecessarily. I'd rather waste the extra 10K baht on wine women and song.

A family member currently rents a flat in the UK for the equivalent of over 21,000, in Northern England, surely further south it would be more.If the monthly budget already has 'wine, women and song' covered, I say spend it on accommodation. I would find it depressing to be living in a cheap little shoe-box place. Each to their own....

Sure, nobody wants to live in a cheap dump. Obviously, a person could find a place for much less than 15K per month. I guess everyone makes their own budget decisions. I've seen plenty of rentals in the 15K range that look very nice. Those would work for me. The only time I'd tend to splurge would be if I was buying a unit.

Renting and buying, shop around. There seems to be 2 levels of pricing out there. Reasonable deals to be had and people asking silly money. Some of the newer condos are expensive.... and condemn you to a life of struggling to park and a sea-view that got built in front of. If a 4.5 million condo is 20k/month to rent, I would rent. At my age better to keep the capital than invest in a market that surely is heading to saturation or a downfall.
