Advice please, first trip to Pattaya (going twice this year)

Hey Guys,

Had a few queries. I am coming twice to Pattaya in the next few months. First time ever to Pattaya is in a few weeks in mid march. I am trying to find suitable accommodation. I have frequented Phuket a few times and i really enjoyed the guesthouse / hotel i stayed at there. Jacuzzi, super king beds, breakfast till 6pm, guest friendly of course. All for a decent price. The 2 places i have been able to find thus far are Pent House apartments and The Vault. Sadly the Vault is booked out of all the jacuzzi rooms :(. So its either the Pent House apartments which seems to have extremely mixed reviews, i gotta keep searching :(. They are both also more expensive than what i was paying in Phuket which really surprises me as i thought Phuket was meant to be more expensive.

My 2nd trip in May, I need to find accommodation for about 8 men (Bucks Party). So generally 8 bedrooms or perhaps a couple of them are willing to share as long as its twin beds and not one bed which would be difficult to find. The only villa i was able to find seems to not be operating anymore, the other villas are too far away from the nightlife and i had been hoping to be close as thats crucial. So most likely i will have to find a hotel / guesthouse that can give out about 8 rooms or maybe 6 rooms if a few people share. Any recommendations on this? We would like late breakfast options if possible, guest friendly for sure, walking distance to night life. (we can walk for a few minutes no probs). I personally would want a jacuzzi in my room, clean and good bathrooms are essential, i dont like the really really cramped ones where you get the toilets and floors soaked when you have a shower...

Queen Victoria Inn, how far is that from the main "fun" areas of Pattaya. I have never been to Pattaya before but i hear unlike patong, it is not just one area but a bit more spread out? From the map, i think Queen Victoria Inn is quite far from the action? Is that right or am i looking at the wrong streets? Walking street seems a lot further south compared to where QV inn is located.

Queen Victoria inn is located on sio 6 .the most action you will get in pattaya , 2 minutes walk down to beach road , hop on a baht bus and a few

minutes you will be at the entrance to walking street.

Another area to consider is LK metro / soi Diana, lots of bars agogo's guest houses.

So Walking Street isnt the biggest / most important part of Pattaya? I had thought it was like bangla road in patong. So soi 6 is the main area?

No, Walking St is the main, famous tourist area. Soi 6, I would say infamous. Edited by jacko
