Karma Niyama - order of act and result, e.g., desirable and undesirable acts produce corresponding good and bad results. As surely as water seeks its own level so does Karma, given opportunity, produce its inevitable result, not in the form of a reward or punishment but as an innate sequence. This sequence of deed and effect is as natural and necessary as the way of the sun and the moon.

What do you do with the fish you catch at these parks? Put them back in the water, or what?

Me too , I would think fish of that size would take a while to grow, would hope you would throw them back for the next person to catch !

yes especially this one as it would of cost the owner a far bit to set up.

But there is a small fishing park on third road that has smaller fish and I think you can keep one fish very popular with the Thais

Fascinating report thanks Aussiechic. I keep meaning to have a try at the fishing ponds near to Pattaya, but never seem to get round to it.(can'think why :clueless ) Saw lots of footage about the Arapaima on Jeremy Wade's fishing programmes here in UK. They can be huge beasts, at their largest exceeding 400 lbs in weight. This species is native to South America mainly in the Amazon river system,

where they are known locally, as pirarucu . Did you get to weigh the one you caught ? It must have been quite a thrill to have tangled with such a fish as this.....what perhaps about 30-40lbs ? Great report and pics thanks again.

Depending on where you go and what you catch, they will cook and serve it to you while you're fishing. I only went once and it was a great day out and only cost a few hundred Baht.

They rushed the fish away quick, so at the end of the day I asked did they weight it and they said no but knew it was 22 to 23kg I said I'll take 23kg :thumbup
