Heathrow Airport Hotels

I was wondering if anyone had any information about hotels at the Heathrow Airport in London?  I will have a 12 hour lay-over there on my way to LOS and would like to get a room to shower and rest up alittle.  I am looking for something right at the airport for a reasonable rate.

They were all ****ing packed this weekend. This was due to a strike by B***** A** ground staff at terminal 1.  As regards rates, you would be better off nipping into London for a day/night out.

you could go for one of the chains.

holliday inn, forte, or travel inn etc.

i sometimes have a night before i fly out in hayes, about an £8/ 15 miniute taxi ride away.

the travel inn is reasonable, about £60

well reasonable for the area anyway.

Some airlines will provide a Hotel room for shwer etc if mor than a 12 hour layover.

Tangent, I know the Hilton on Terminal 4 does a 'day rate' check out the Hilton web site for details, prices etc
