That is on of the great things about these sites. A guy asks a real question looking for an answer and gets a one line wise crack

SB,

Many places in town to get a burger, on Soi 7 is the Tequila Reef the burgers are like a good American place. This maybe is due to the fact that the owner of the place is an American and keeps things up to American standards. Another place that I like is at the Royal Garden Mall. The Sizzler, in the mall has a very good burger and they thro in a large open salad bar, with soups, pasta and deserts. It is a good lunch deal at less than 200 baht.

Thanks Fish, some really good infro.  Will be staying close to the Royal Garden Mall, so will give it a shot.  Plus, heard it's a really good pick up spot.                                   Baz, actually spent an hour on the back of a motorbike in the Dominican Republic looking for a Burger King.  All I wound up with was a stiff butt.  I like to eat at the local spots, but sometimes I jest get a hankerin for that comfort food.  SB

i know.

when im in the uk i could eat thai curry and sea food untill it came out of my bell end.

but after a few days overindulging in town, i tend to go and have a roast beef dinner at shenanigans or a steak at sizzler, to line my stomach before starting again.

i reccomend the sandwiches at au bon pan in the royal garden, i dont know why but i always get a craving when hungover.

Yes the sandwiches at Au Bon Pan are good but, don't eat your meall at Au Bon Pan. Get your meal to good, go upstairs to the third floor food court get a drink and eat there. The girl watching and pick up options are better in the food court.

Tenchy,

Maybe that is a difference between us you have looked for three years while I've taken many of Thailand finest out of the food court. To each his own if you want to just look than you maybe are right. But if you want to find some take out entertainment then the food court is the only place to be.

many of "thailands finest " what though?

there are too many of "the second catergory" for my likeing, in the court.

i prefer the ggs, and would like to see all these lancers that can compete with happy's finest.

Belem voted for me. Can't give testimony that they are the best but.....   Enjoyed many a cold beer with burger & fries at the Tahitian Queen. Fries are similar to Micky Dees - tasty.  Some of my stops at Hamberger Denmark were per request of my date(s). The Denmark offers a chili-katsup that is worth a try.

Don't think I could order a hamberger at the Pig and Whistle after a look at the menu. P&W does a fine fish and chips that (for me) is hard to resist.  ;D

The worst hamburger in town is Denmark

Guaranteed to to give serious shits

Avoid at all costs

::)

The som tan(noodle soup)stands have also been known to give people the squirts. Or better yet, try a pineapple pizza or the all you can eat breakfast buffet at the Lek or Apex Hotel. Choose your poison. [smiley=toilet_claw.gif]

Hmmm, while I hate to see people eat western in LOS, having spent months at a time there I understand the occasional need for home food.

I think the best burger in Pattaya is at the Hard Rock Cafe on Beach Road.  overpriced?  Yes.  Good?  Damn straight.

You could say the same thing about everything at the Hardrock, overpriced but you are getting what you paid for.

My vote goes to the hard Rock Cafe. Excellent burger but very pricey.

Well the poll has been up for nine days so time to close the poll and move on. The results from the poll are in, the best hamburger in  Pattaya is Sizzler at the Royal Garden.
