A review of La Teresita Hotel, Angeles City.

Recommended Posts

La Teresita Hotel, Angeles City, is located on Elisa Street, and maybe a 7-8 min walk to Walking street, or Fields Ave, whatever you prefer to call it. It is a 4 floor hotel, located in a quiet residential area.

When I booked this hotel and mentioned it on the boards, I was advised that it was located in a locals living area, and not ideal to stay in, but, I have to say that the walk from Fields and back again, I had no problems whatsoever with the dimly lit roads or with any of the locals, in fact I felt quite safe, and its safe to say that I will stay here again next year when I get back to Angeles.

The photos of my room are of the Deluxe room, priced at P1450 a night. There is a fridge filled with mini bar drinks, and 2 free bottles of water, but they are the only free water you will see during your stay. Free wifi, checked the speed at 5meg, which seems to be faster than quite a few other hotels internet. Flat screen TV, 100+ channels with many English language channels and movies. Hot water available in the bathroom, but on the odd occasion, the water pressure did go high and low a couple of times. Large wardrobe, with (bolted down) safe, big enough for your camera/phone/money/iPad.

No problems bringing 2 girls back to your room. Reception didn't ask for any ID's or anything, but they did call the room every time the girl left to check everything was ok.

Reception always seemed to be staffed by at least 4 girls behind the counter, and a armed guard during the day, and 2 armed guards at night. The door was always locked, but opened by the guard before I made it up the stairs to the door. There is a bar and restaurant here, but I tried the food on my first day, and I didn't go back again. Maybe the flippers just don't know how to make a good Spag Bol, but im sure making it taste like a bag of red coloured sugar syrup is not the ideal way.

All in all, a good little hotel, very reasonably priced and worth the money. Its worth a 4 out of 5 stars.

Looks good for £20/night (1000 Baht).

Edit: Looks like the shower/bathroom floor could do with a good scrub though. Wouldn't deter me from staying there though.
