Hello boys its a pleasure to finally join up on flb as it seems a great site with many great posters which is refreshing to see .

I have been to bangkok many times but never pattaya .I know I am mising the boat,,ahahhaah

However next month I will be coming to pattaya for about 10 to 12 days I have read throughly the reviews on hotels but stil cannot picture which is the best place ,Not ever being there doesnt help neither so here it goes another stupid question

Overall I am looking for a nice place with a pool and good service with no  extra tg fee"s and good food with a big bed queen or king

I have it narrowed done to flipper 7 or 8 or even residence garden as that seems to be very nice but it does seem to be a bit away from everything

I guess I am looking for something with the same attitude or the Orchid inn IN AC if anyone has ever been there they would know what I am talking about price is no big deal to me ..Just good location with overall good service and great attitudes.

Thank You for all your inputt

Hey Mrstein;

Welcome to the board. I am sure you will have a great time in Pattaya.

All 3 options you raised are pretty good. Since it really is quiet in Pattaya right now, it will not be a problem getting rooms. My suggestion, book a room for the first night so that you don't have to be worried. While there, give the 3 places a visit and make your choice.

Have fun.

Hi mrstein.

Had a guy from Misty's board look at some joints for me, he came up with the Sandy spring Hotel brand new,big balcony, big fridge, sea views & seeing that Nok is from the US,  American style rooms at 990bht a night. It's at Soi 13 which right in the middle of the action, Pattaya Pete will confirm the location.

Good Luck.

Bigmike.

The Problem I have with the Sandy Spring is you have to sign a form saying that your TG will not use the pool or other public areas what ever that means this thay told me Via email so I told them to stuff the room. I like to get in the pool with the TG and it won't happen there I vote for the Flipper Lodge on Soi 8 Very TG friendly and the beds are HUGE !!

Vanilla!

What price did you get from Sandy Spring? The prices I was quoted for July, were the same that they gave me during high season. Which is a little to high in my opinion.

I'm staying at Mike Beach Hotel on this trip.  It's located on Soi 4 near Sussie's Massage.  Close to Soi 6, Sabai massages, Soi 2 beer bars and Big C.  Friendly staff, guest friendly, quiet area, mid-size fridge, balcony, shower/tub, and A/C doesn't turn off when you leave the room.  600 baht per night.

Hi Lads

I'm booked in to the Sandy Spring for later this week so will post a report after I've tried them out for a few days, and post some pics toward the end of the month after I get back home.

I've just queried their policy about the Pool and told them I wouldn't come there if the TG couldn't use it.  I got a mail back saying no problem - "she can swim with you too".  Obviously had ideas above their station and shit themselves when the bookings fell off.!!

Vanilla and Bigmike!

I actually got a slightly better price than you. But it is not much. Anyway, I'm not that happy as it is the same price that I got in March (high season). Also, I have the option to live in a house for about 5000 bath (1 month), but it is a little way out from the centre of action. Really no problem, as I stayed there for 11 weeks this winter, and the ride home did sober me up at times  8)

It seems to me that you might get a better price if you just walk in from the street, compared to booking in advance.

As for pictures, I had a delux room the two weeks I stayed there in March (for 1100, same as I can have it now). Nice with two balconies, but you really do not need that. I'll have a look and see if any of my pics shows the room (probably just my girl)  :o

PS! I did see some guys with their TGs in the pool one evening, where the girls were asked to leave the pool by the staff. It might have been because the gang made a little noise...

It is much more a familly hotel than a "party" hotel, I would say. It was lots of kids at the pool when I stayed there.

Hi Vanilla!

Only found one picture that showes the room reasonably. This is taken from the balcony on the Soi 13 side of the room:

This is the view from the balcony on the pool side of the room:

Again, this is the delux room, and they are larger than the standard rooms.

Hope it helps!
