Fashion Issues When Watching Sport On The Box

Recommended Posts

This isn't the quote I recall….. but it will do…………..

"I'll hold my hand up and admit to having purchased NZ, Aussie, French, Ireland, SA, Argentina, Japan and even Hong Kong and Fiji rugby shirts. You'd be kidding yourself if you thought it had anything to do with whoever England happened to be playing." Cheshire Tom circa 2010

It's just it seemed from a couple of your posts that you like to dress up and get in the spirit for matches….You dress the girls too you say…….I remember the '40 reasons you won't be supporting England' thread and the girl you dressed in an Argentinian kit.

I'm sure there's nothing more to it than that you don't feel you look your best in white.

There's no reason why you should.

But will you be dressing up……. as in past years?

And you'd be kidding yourself as much now as then. What I said 3 weeks ago was ...

I practically live in rugby/polo shirts. Got one for most occasions ... Japan, Pumas, HK, All Blacks, Wallabies, Springboks, Fiji, Scotland, Ireland, Munster, Stade Francais ...

... which part of "rugby/polo shirts" do you have difficulty comprehending? The quote from 2010 was in response to another paranoid geezer ...

Fixed that for you.

I remember the '40 reasons you won't be supporting England' thread and the girl you dressed in an Argentinian kit.

She was also sporting a Wacoal bra and knickers. I don't wear them either.

I'm sure there's nothing more to it than that you don't feel you look your best in white.

Except, that's just another example of your paranoia ... I look good in any colour ... :thumbup

... and Scotland, Ireland and France all have decent white away kits as well.

But will you be dressing up the girls ……. as in past years?

Again, fixed that for you.

Are you more of a Singha vest man yourself, or what?

Any comments about the draw for the footie would be welcome. :thumbup

If I did, I would have started a thread on the subject. But I didn't. unsure.gif

I don't know. A quick skim on this board provides plenty of examples of the English agonising about the Kaisers, Frogs, Poles, Pakis etc etc.

LOL. We were too pissed to cause trouble. The only trouble I noticed was that Stan Colleymore character sticking one on the Swedish bird. Or are you suggesting it was really a Scot in fancy dress? Certainly, Stan chose to blame the Scots. Is it an English pastime, or what?

So, who started the website? The shirts were being sold in Scotland by a company registered in Berkshire.

I'll hold my hand up and admit to having purchased NZ, Aussie, French, Ireland, SA, Argentina, Japan and even Hong Kong and Fiji rugby shirts. You'd be kidding yourself if you thought it had anything to do with whoever England happened to be playing.

Not idiot enough to think that ABE merchandise is some Scottish/Irish/Welsh enterprise. unsure.gif

You're either drunk, paranoid or both. What I said 3 weeks ago (not 3 years) was ...

Merely responding to your personal comments that had nothing whatsoever to do with the WC draw. :thumbup

Why would anyone give a rats ass if you wear a Singha vest to watch sport on TV?

Judging by the Pattaya crowd these days I will be thankful they are wearing any shirt.... even if it is only a substitute for a sweat rag.

I'll give it an hour before the threadfuck appears    :thumbup

Looks a pretty upmarket Singha wife beater singlet that. Most of the tramps/expats around here only wear low class Chang, Leo or Beer Lao faded wife beater singlets. Spot on with 100 baht shorts and a pair of mismatched crocs. lol.

Why bother? Its only a children's sport used to develop footwork while waiting for them to become adults with the upper body strength necessary to pass the ball.

(per the cat's request) :bhappy
