Need Hotel or Guest House for 300-400 baht

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I will be staying in Pattaya around the end of February.

I am looking for a room not to exceed 400 baht.

Are their rooms in Pattaya for this price?

Can anyone recommend a  decent room either in Central or South Pattaya?

Thanks.

Tom :)

Gidday Tom.

Another potential member of the Cheap Charlie Brigade?

Welcuuuuuume. (Please, no offence intended).

The Sawasdee hotels are in your price range.

There are 5 in Pattaya, and all close to night time action:

Sea View in  Soi 10 near Beach Road.

Court in small soi up from Soi Honey Inn.

Pattaya Mansion,  Soi Diana Inn.

Mansion and Guesthouse, Soi Honey Inn.

And the best is Siam Sawasdee on the corner of Honey Inn and Soi Buakhao.

Give discounts for advance payment(no refunds) of a week plus.

Reasonable rooms for the price. You get what you pay for.

Sea View's bathroms are small. No elevator.

Siam Sawasdee's rooms are quite old but large and bright.

All have safety deposit boxes at reception.

Don't think  they care who or what you bring to your room.

Hope this helps, Tom.

Cheap Charlie? Hey, in Sweden we pay 75% in tax, get it  ::) So if someone with a normal income wants to come here to spend 2-3 months of winter, why pay the money for luxury you don't have at home? If I want to pay lots for a hotel or look at TV all the time, I can always take a hotel in Sweden........

I am at Sawasdee Inn near Khao San Road just now, so it suits me fine. Just hope they have rooms between Christmas and New Year.

for your price range check out the rooms above some of the beer bars and restaurants on 2nd road.  Start out on Soi 12 on up going towards Soi 8.  Also there's a beer bar on Soi 7 right behind the 7 11 on 2nd road.  I checked out there rooms think they wanted 340 a night.   Quite, secure , Cable TV , clean your room everyday.  When I visited seemed to be a lot of girls that stayed there 3-4 to a room .  A nice little added bonus if you.  ;D

Hello all -

Very helpful info, guys - I'll be looking for cheaper but still decent digs myself when I arrive, as this will be a much longer visit than last time and I'd rather save my baht for babes and booze :P. If I had pounds or USD to spend I'd probably go a little more upmarket, but I have to stretch my CDN dollars somewhat...

Personally I prefer a hotel with in-room safe. You can stay at a cheap hotel under 450 Baht but if your money disappears is this a good deal? I don't trust office safes as staff often have access to them. I like Apex hotel 450-550 Baht. In-room safes. Also Yensai Condo (minimum 4 days) specials are also 500 Baht. The extra 100 Baht is cheap insurance and you get a better room besides. If anyone knows of cheaper places with in-room safe please advise.

If you have a safe with a combination lock in your room, just make sure that no-one is looking over your shoulder when keying the number in. Having said that, I've never had a problem of anything being pinched by girls I've taken back to my room regardless of what type of safe the room has.

Try Honey Inn on Soi Honey off 2nd road. Can generally get a room there for under 400 baht no matter what their web site says. Get rooms in the higher numbers so you are at the quiet end. Nice pool area too.

daveh are these safes you mention combination or key safes. If key what do you do to protect the key.

Interested ::)

Most safes are combination type. Sometimes freelancers could be tempted if you fall asleep or go into bathroom---better SAFE ;D than sorry.
