Katysha Restaurant, Kiev

Recommended Posts

I know this review wont appeal to most people, if any at all, but i just thought i would share it in case any UK members or other European members decide on a trip to Kiev. After all, it only cost me £150 return flight on BA, so its quite a cheap destination to get to.
Anyway, we stumbled across this place in Kiev, called "Katysha". Its a small chain across the city, with i believe somewhere around 8 or 9 other restaurants. The idea behind it sees to be that the place is decked out like an old 80's style Ukrainain home, making you feel more at home when eating.
The menu is quite extensive with local dishes, and as a added bonus, comes in english too!!! So nothing lost in translation!
We had 2 starters, 2 mains, large pot of tea, and 2 large beers. Cost to me, only £6.50. Now thats value for money and i highly advise anyone who does visit here to try these places out.
They give you these paper place mats for the food. They are aimed at kids, but as the mat was in Ukrainian, i decide to colour in the pictures instead, to the great amusement of the restaurant staff...........

Cost a little more than 150 quid to get there from here.

What was your main? It looks tasty. (So does desert)

BTW your colouring skills need a little work.

Yeah, thats where you get unlucky with the cost Lance, but at the end of the day, you have Bali and the Philippines within spitting distance of you.

Not sure what the main is called in english, but in Ukrainian its called Картофель жареный с грибами which translated means "panned friend potatoes and mushrooms"

Dessert was super tasty and free as well, but wil be expensive in the long run, but im not too worried about that.

I'll work on thise skills the next time im over in Kiev!

what's the lady scene like?

Ukrainian girls are stunning, absolutely stunning.

There is a night life area with bars, pubs and clubs galore, and some serious super clubs. I might start a Ukraine night life thread later.
