Got one ofthose at the old railway place on Isle of Man. It was not very hot!

MMs contribution is my favourite brekky, but I'll stick with plates! I've yet to find a decent 'Benedict in Pattaya!

Same place mate! Just last May.

We gave it a try but I prefer the breakfast in the cafe in the small Market Hall place near the Quay.

Not sure I'd want to eat anything off of that shovel. You can see how it is covered in paint for the most part and has been worn through. So I ask myself, "Where did the rest of the paint go" and the answer is "in the stomachs of a bunch of diners"

It's interesting that even the English think their food is like horse shit and deserves to be treated the same way. :bhappy

My friend, you should see a few of the frying pans that get used around the UK, many believe you should never wash the frying pan as you take the goodness out of it! These are of course coal shovels meant for fuelling steam trains, which they still have on the Island! Shit is moved using pitchforks and spades, the long handles they have are rather inconvenient in the confines of a railway station cafe. I suppose they might work for getting pizza out of the ovens. I would also point out that before I 'licked the plate', all the paint was intact, and I was happily knocking back a pint of Okells soon after.

The English though, have managed to master cutlery, rather than eating with unwashed fingers.

  • 2 weeks later...

Train drivers used to cook their breakfasts on a shovel, I also understand they would use the the coal bunkers as a rest room.

Hope the kept a separate shovel for cooking their breakfasts on.
