Airline prices

I am new...going to BKK in March.  I was wondering if the airfare from Las Vegas to BKK will come down or go up between now and then?  The price now is around $700.00 Thank you for any and all help.

I travel from Vegas as well. It seems that $700 is the going rate for those dates, but that can change quickly. One of the things you might look into is leaving from LAX, and then seeing if you can get a cheap flight over to LAX. You may find a $595 price out of LAX from time to time. But it may cost you $60 to $120 to fly there. Its really nice to just have to get to one airport and check in once rather than have to go to LA then get your bag, and recheck in at LA. I have usualy gotten the best prices and service from America Asia travel. The women there named Iris is really on top of the cheapest fares, and knows the routes and airlines very well. They are over on spring mountain in the China town center. I recieved a quote of $695 from Las Vegas. I said oh China airlines, she grinned and said "its safe" I smiled and shook my head. She said "ok, Japan airlines $700" This is a pretty good price but I would wait a bit before you commit lots could happen between now and your departure date.

The price changes by the week.

Ex: from Hawaii   Dec 12 to Dec 22 $815.00

From Dec 23 to Jan 4  $761.00

 

I am flying on Jan 18 for $530.00 the low season price.

 

I would try to get prices maybe 3 months in advance or earlier?  M_H

Thank you for the lightning responds you guys are great!  I have been reading all the post on the board for about three weeks... love all the info. Going in March staying in Bangkok for two days then to Pattaya for 7 or 8 days, from the reading we are in for a great time!  I found airfare with United for $690.00 now so I guess that is as good as it gets.  I will be booking airfare soon.  Thank you again, you can be sure I will be picking your brains for more info in the months to come

Ramster...For some reason this year, the Asian fares haven't really been on "sale"...As opposed to the European fares..If the price is good...TAKE IT....

United has a pretty good frequent flyer program.

 

One question to ask yourself is how much the fare could possibly go down and how much could it possibly go up?

From Vegas could it really get lower than 500?  But it seems possible it could be more than 1000 if travel picks up.  Just my take, all might not agree.

 

I was going to book on China Air for around 860 suoer peak season waited and then had to do United for 1000, this is from New York.  Then the cheap China Air flight became available so I lost 140 bucks.  But if I wanted to book today for super peak season it be at leat 1500.
