Phuket-Pattaya

Does anyone know if its possible going from phuket to pattaya by air or are  the only option   to fly  phuket-bangkok and then by taxi???  i know some airlines does koh samui-pattaya!!  but cant find any info nowhere about  phuket-pattaya

Bangkok Airways does Pattaya (U Tapao) - Phuket and v.v.  Flights are via Samui with a 40 min stop.  Total travelling time is around two and a half hours.  The schedule is at http://203.154.168.55/birts/schedule.aspx

NillaMan...make sure you get the right tix and check fo fare sale...There is a diff in costs for stop over, thru to Phuket and return....They are the only game in town!

i did some sniffing around, and i think i will go with Thai airways, bkk-phuket -phuket-bkk, its actually a little bit cheaper then going with bangkokair, but then its the taxi costs from bkk to pattaya, but hey , you cant win em all

Time is the deal and you'll have a different view....You can you to BKK from Phuket on BKK air...If frequent flyer is an issue Thai is partner with Star Alliance.

 

Time wise you'll  do up more than half day for the BKK HKT.  route!

i think the biggest reason why i will go with thai is because i always fly with them , only have good things to say about them!!!  if i catch a plane from phuket to pattaya i will have to do the 40 minute stop on koh samui so i will proberly loose 1 - 11/2 hour going the phuket to bangkok -pattaya route(no stops in samui)

and since we are 4-5 people travelling together the taxi costs from bkk-pattaya will not be much!!  but thanx anyway,  cheers Vanilla :)

If you don't go via Samui you'll be missing out on 30-40 mins in what is probably the most beautiful airport in the world.  It's worth the trip just for that.

Does anyone know of a domestic carrier, other than Bkk Air, that flys into Pattaya from Phuket?

 

Thai Air, Phuket Air and PB Air does not fly into Pattaya from Phuket.

Bangkok Air is the ONLY commercial carrier to use U Tapao. It is still basically a military airport, but BKK Air have a deal to use it.

Samui is airport is my vote for most beuatiful in the world.

 

The taxi ride from Pattaya to U Tapao is a no hassle, no traffic ride. The airport is easy to navigate.

 

Bangkok Air is a fine airline.

 

Think some flights from Phuket to U-Tapao are non-stop. I pretty sure I took a non-stop.

 

I lust after star Alliance miles but I'd never go to DonMaung instead of U-Tapoa for a trip to Phuket or samui if I was already in Pattaya. The new airport might be a different story.
