Looks to be a one day sale. The seats went fast and I do mean fast. I found it thru the guy who posted LAX to BKK for $146. Sorry you and other guys were not able to get in on it.    10 days

  • 4 weeks later...

I just returned from BKK on Cathay Pacific. Good airline, decent food, excelent drink service. If I can get another price like what I booked last month, I'll fly with them again. BTW, I got airmiles with them.   Less then 7 days until I'm reloaded into the Thai matrix this time in Phuket. ;D ;D ;D

Not bad.  It is all timing.  I have noticed if you book out of different city the prices can be slightly lower.  San fran instead of LAX is cheaper sometimes.  LAX instead of Vegas (southwest to lax) is cheaper.   I track the airfares on my yahoo.

Where on Expedia did you guys pull that great fare? For some reason when I search under flights and choose say the fare watch or whatever it gives me 600 from atlanta on united....but when I actually look for a particular flight it tells me 2400 or something outrageous.

Hello did you ever try to book out of LA and take a southwest to LAX?  That saves some money sometimes.  I do that sometimes, I just have to recheck my luggage.  I called the airline directly (Eva) and saved money.  Eva air, 1-800-695-1188.   The only thing is if you book on Eva.com you can get bonus miles.  But calling them is helpful sometimes and they can work with you.   If you book over the phone you have to mail it in.  One more thing not related to this, you live in Jax. FL, when the NFL Jaguars first came out they had a different logo, is that correct?  I heard they got sued by the car maker jaguar and had to change it.  The reason I ask is because I have  the original design helmet, made by riddell.   I bought it before the team started playing a few years back.  Think it is a keeper?  I might put it on Ebay.

cheers

Thanks, sometimes I look for the different prices at different Airports like LAX then take a southwest to LAX.  I know Southwest goes to Chicago (one of the airports) and I know United goes to Bangkok.   Southwest is great,  it has saved me bunch over the past few years.   The only thing I have to recheck my luggage but that's OK.   Hope that helps some.

Just make sure they don't give you guys the jump seats, the flight attendants usually use.

That is not a problem , any airline trying this will have bigger problems than how to fill planes, making  money, and terrorism.  The hammer the FAA carries is a big one that all the airlines fear.
