Thanks for that guys, in the past when I dummy booked a fare on the 380, the upstairs wasn't available on the cheapest ticket, but buying the next tier made the top deck available, makes good business sense really.

Thats the way its always worked for me too?

 

Whenever Ive booked a "cheaper" economy ticket, wasnt able to book upstairs.

I like seats in row 69 or 70. You get your food quickly and as its up the back sometimes there are a lot of empty seats to stretch out and sleep. Its also good because as you seem to get your food quickly you can then duck to the bogs whilst everyone else is still eating
