Getting moto taxis to follow you

Probably a dumb question: If I'm on my bicycle and I see a girl, I may want to take her. But that means hiring a moto taxi. One option is telling the moto taxi where my guesthouse is, non-ideal due to language and imprecision. The other is having him slowly follow me to my place on Soi Buakao. You guys think they'll be okay with that or am I going to have to go home just to drop off the bike?

If you accept to pay a little extra (because the trip takes more of his time) I am pretty sure that would be OK.

Why not grab a handful of cards from the guesthouse, which usually have addresses in both languages on them, or get the owner to write the address down in thai, photocopy a load of them, keep in your wallet and hand it to the moto somchai then tell the girl to await your arrival?.

I think Butch has the best advice on this one. Only other thing i can think of off hand would be to double up on the mt and pull the bike along. I have seen it done here

I agree, I can just hand a card to a girl with 50 baht and tell her to meet me at the guesthouse in 10 minutes. Problem is being Indian American this will make me look even cheaper than I am :) But beach road girls aren't picky so it's ok.
