Is it just me, or is anyone else having trouble getting food delivered lately?  Maybe with all the people in town they don’t have enough drivers?  In the last few days, I’ve tried to order food for delivery, without much success.  After a few minutes, I get a message: “all drivers are busy.”  So I try another restaurant. Same result.  I finally just give up.

Not used the food delivery services but been checking Bolt. Basically not many drivers available and lots of traffic around. Hopefully getting back to normal from tommorow.

Now that the tourists have returned and business has picked up, wonder if the restaurants are cutting back on food delivery as the delivery company's cut is a big chunk of the restaurant's profit.

From Grab's website:
Q: How much is GrabFood charging merchants?
Merchant commission ranges. On average, we charge merchants around 15%-30% commission on the order value. In Thailand, the average order value is around 150-200 baht, and this works out to be around 22.5-60 baht in commission.

Speculation but I assumed it  was due to the holiday weekend.

Certainly must be part of it, it was really busy in town.  And post Covid we have a population used to having food delivered... my neighbours live off it! I think fbwu has a point too....over the last 12 months I have been irritated when I do visit a restaurant, that my food seems to be taking ages, while they appear to focus more on getting the Grab orders out of the door.

It's been going on prior to the holiday. 2 hour wait for chinese a month ago. Why so few Chinese restaurants? 2 weeks ago i had a 3k order with Robins Hood cancelled by Grab.  RH called and sent one of the staff over with the order.  Getting a bolt from 13/3 last week prices doubled from the usual 80 baht to go anywhere .That day nothing was available except a van.
