As part of a package deal on Northwest I stayed at this hotel for two nights. By booking the hotel I saved $600 US on a flight out of Minneapolis. The hotel is a very classy hotel. Rooms are of a nice size and very clean. I had a tilac with me but she did not go near the desk when I checked in. So I cannot say if it is guest friendly or not. Food was very good but a bit pricey by BKK standards. The hotel is located near to the Grand Palace and very little else. It was about a 1 hour cab ride to NEP when traffic was at its best. First night I had trouble getting a cab to take me to the hotel from Nana because it was too long of a ride. I ended up taking sky train part of the way and cab the remainder.

I only stayed because I did not feel like throwing away two nights paid room + as part of the tour package I had free scheduled transport to the airport from there. If you are looking to be where there is action this is not the place. It seemed to be very family oriented.

Regards,

Bacon

I stayed there in January with my family. It is a long way from anywhere, however it was near a hospital we were visiting. The rooms were nice and my recollection is we paid 800B. We had to taxi everywhere. The pool was small and lame.

There is a nice, upscale restaurant/club on the water within walking distance. It looked like a place for young, hip Thais.

I stayed there about 4 yrs ago and they charged 700 for a lady to stay over

had a big room with a balcony overlooking the river, but have to say it was not what i would call good value for money. they have a boat that drops you at river city if your going to town.

its also a pain getting to nep and cowboy better to stay nearer the action inmho.

Thanks for the info guys. It sounds like the place for me, I am spending time with a non bar girl and want something away from the action. From the map I see that it is really not that far away from her hospital and she wants to show me where she works and lives, plus with her knowing the city I am sure we can get around to movies, site seeing ok.

they have joiners fee, they want you to bf the tg's from the lounge, no guest fee for them.

they do have a river taxi that takes you up to several diffent loctions where you can get cab or overhead.

the breakfast buffet is ok

personnelly i wouldn't stay there.

it's an hour to get anywhere

Stayed there last year. Its a very nice hotel with a nice setting on the river.

The problem,I found, was that it was a long distance from anywhere.

Not much nightlife near the hotel but if you want a quiet time then its OK for you.
