The outside balcony at Royal Gardens Plaza is open with a bar and a couple of restaurants/cafes having access. There are also some public table tennis tables, if anyone is interested.

l took this with a 300 ml lens from quite a distance. I thought very carefully about posting it: the group are so chaotic and disorganised that I thought it was worth posting.

If you're on two wheels, keep an eye out on Soi 15 for the major cracks and holes in the concrete that was put down only a few months ago. I'm not so sure this guy's idea of a safety feature for his bike is a good idea. I understand he probably thinks its a good warning device for passing traffic to steer clear of him, but he's also increasing the chance a passing vehicle will hit him via the pole sticking out into their lane.
