Never heard of anyone sending cheques before.... Not sure if a Thai bank would accept a UK banks cheque. The best and cheapest way is as others have said on your other post....set up a uk bank account in your name, send her the Card using UPS or any other decent international courier........Then call her with the pin. I wouldn't send anything of vaule through 'normal' postal services. H

Had a look yesterday..................looked good but fully booked till middle of feb Don't be put off ny SOI 17 which isn't the nicest looking SOI in Pattaya............... 5 mins walk to walking street, 2 mins walk to B-bus route, and loadsa motorbike taxis around. H

I suggest you have a look when your in Pty, get a hotel for a few days and shop around........any condo good enough for my humble standards costs around 12/14 K per month + electric and water....so total around 16-18K per month. Many of the internet cafe's have AOL loaded on they computers...........As you are conected all the time there should not be a problem using AOL's browser rather than m/soft IE.........Try Explorer cafe at the beach end of pattaya tai, between 2nd road and walking st, good deals on pre pay time packages. New wing is great.............they call you before and after a TG comes to your room....so safe for newbie fools 750B paid in sept per night, old wing was getting refurbed big style should be better than the new wing. Breakfast is OK for value but i prefer Rosey O'gradeys or P&W or the sportsman down the soi Dinner buffet again OK if you aren't very adventurous H

Make sure you get the bigger rooms at the Lido....... I know your no Newbie, but do check the rooms out Maybe they have improved!?! But i seem to remember its faults Loud AC Small TV Lots of noise from people in the corridors Low water pressure on the shower Out of date beer in the mini bar Ugly Maids that knocked on the door even with the DND sign on No Lift (only a problem when i had a drunk TG to take to my room) The better ones seem to have windows facing the Moo (lane) you walk down to get to the lobby Location is great for action in South Pattaya. Starbucks on the corner of the Moo is good and no matter how drunk i got i could always find my way back ! But i feel there are better out there. Try SOI 13 with the Lek getting refurbed, Sandy Springs/ and two other new hotels being built in september one looked like a condo style place H PS i will be doing a mad scramble around the 25-01-04 as all the condo place's i want are booked or too mutt $$$ Let ya know how it goes H

Never had a problem with Motorbike taxis (touching as much wood as i can!).......though i have told them to slow down a few times and don't take them durring songkram (sp?) Baht bus form PattayaLand soi2 about 60Baht.......120 if you DON'T haggle Though walking is good .........go up Pattaya Tai (grab some food) cut through Soi Hollywood diso pick a Freelancer then back to the Hotel on SOI yensabai ;D H

If their are no Motobikes on the corner, walk onto SOI Yensabai there will be another group opersite a hotel on the soi (30 meters from Koenig) can't remember name of hotel. H PS Stayed there 3 weeks over xmas - nye last year Good hotel.

Its at the corner of soi 17 & soi yensabai, always moto taxi's at the corner under a tin shack! I would say 150 meters to a B-bus route. Great Hotel.......if the location was better, rooms would be twice the price. H

Hey Jimmy don't bother with the LIDO..........there are better ST rooms! (unless its been decorated in the last 2 years...i doubt) H

Nova park quoted me (dates 25-1-04 to 25-3-04) 18K per month + bills ....cleaning 4K.......get fucked... do get to keep the cleaning girl in a cupboard 24/7? They have no 12K studios available for the time i want also the location is shit ! Still looking for a studio condo H
