  1. Let me get this straight. You signed a contract, then tried to break it, and were held to it. You got very angry when you were reminded of the terms of the contract. So much so the guy felt he needed the police. Then later, after you had moved out, you wanted to move back in? And apparently you were surprised the guy didn't want you back, the angry contract breaker. Now this other British person you were arguing with in Bangkok, was he perchance a Muslim? Your handle needs to be de-tailed.

  3. You didn't make me feel sorry for him. I had compassion from his OP. Your Expat's Trip report (which was good), seems to have gone to your head.
  4. I had reason to wander in the rear rooms of a beer-bar yesterday and there was beer and soft drinks stacked to the rafters in a room back there. It seemed rather a lot for the particular bar. A lot of hoarding going on, along with supply issues, this is exacerbating the shortages.
  5. It is some time since for me, but I found getting a cheap baht bus that direction late at night very difficult. You had to sit there on the bus at the 2nd/Tai junction as they packed them in, certainly this went on after 2am. Trying to flag one down was hit and miss, many would sail by, an empty one would want to haggle over taxi price. In high season it seemed impossible.
  6. Alan.....?

    Bangkok Bank

A few hours later but I managed to log on OK.
  11. I just went to the booze dealer and got some SML no problem. (price up to 850) But they didn't have Chang soda water, only where I have to give them a case of empty ones, haven't got one. Went to 7-11, shelves looked okay, loads of bottled water now, but no soda water.
  12. 24 hr rule... Doctor Zhivago
  13. I drove past a beer distributor on Sunday (near the Tesco convenience store, behind Suk Numchai), and saw great stacks of SML and Chang cases and thought happily to myself, good, it appears the supply chains are sorting themselves out.Now you have corrected me..... a tower of beer ain't so much I suppose.
  14. Surely between Friday and Sunday there is only Saturday?
  15. Amazing how tides turn, I remember you could rarely get squeezed in at Club Boesche years ago. Now that whole purpose built area is turning into an empty waste of space. It will possibly get redeveloped as a market! A sign of changing times. I know I found it a bit of a drag to walk all that way when doing a GO-GO night, but I used to go especially for my power drinking first hour. (Cheap bottles to 9.30). As I did at Sisterz, as I have at NLD1, (do they still have that offer), Champions and World Wide.
  16. Just a matter of time....
  17. Yes, well done Frosty.
  18. A Clockwork Orange.
  19. My little TGF actually got into my old tank .....left about 6 inch of water in there, she gave it a clean and I pulled the plug and we used a hose from the neighbour.Mind you not much use if the incoming water is dirty... I suppose that is where the filter should be. I had a lot of such issues at my old place on Soi Siam CC.
  20. It is still busy. The roads into town weren't packed like they were for last weeks extended Bangkok holiday, but police are still having to man many junctions.
  21. Well his predecessor was in the job for a while.
  22. Caligula
  23. Not Final Cut or Last Orders?
  24. Get onto the railway line bypass or go via Hwy 7. A little worse than normal but still better thaan the Sukhumvit traffic light junctions. (Well certainly Tai and Klang) The police are operating them and seem to like to make you wait.
