Hey, was it you who messed up Egypt? If you have the money to lose, it is up to you. Karaoke bars are normally run (badly) by Thais.... They start wailing at midnight and shooting at 3am. You have supplied little information about yourself but if you have done 15 years in Egypt (why there?) I expect not a youngster. Personally I would advise you against it, very few bars are successes here, particularly in the current climate, where there are still plenty of tourists, but not many who use the bars.

Well I leave Thailand light, but return heavy as I order those things I can't find through Ebay.I suppose you could say I am bringing my household..... Plenty of things you can't buy in Thailand, try getting a new washer for your coffee maker! The local disposable razors don't seed to be as good, that is a daily item. You could get a taxi you know.

I would like to put forward the construction of Thrappaya and Jomtiem 2nd Rd for comparisons of this nature. Took a trip to Soi 5 yesterday... I need to buy a Land Rover for the next one.

I would just like to clarify is it.... Apple Cider Vinegar. Balsamic Vinegar Cane Vinegar Coconut Vinegar Red Wine Vinegar Rice Vinegar Sherry Vinegar White Wine Vinegar or good old Malt Vinegar? Perhaps any of the above, or will the stuff I drain off my tinned red salmon (malt of course) suffice. It sure should make me smelly to go along with my overly hairy and fat qualifications.

I also looked at Biz Class on Emirates from Bangkok to UK. It was about 119,000 baht and did include a few legs on the A380. That's £2400 and a bit rich for me... Qatar is cheaper at about 102,000 baht/£2100. I have been told better Biz Class prices are available Ex UK on Eva, you have to stay away from School Holidays.

I don't think it is that simple...My UK dongle, for example, came with software on it to connect to O2 and had some pretty useless network selector that had to be loaded. Also your dongle might be 3G specific and 3G isn't really going here yet. By all means try it..... But one thing I do know. You don't have to have a dongle, a mobile phone works in Thailand readily. Your mobile (EG a Sony), comes with PC Suite, and there is an option to connect to the internet in there... covering any country (except didn't work in UK.. ) . You would need then to buy a 'bolt on' for the network...It would be Edge/GPRS, slow speeds but sufficient to keep up with emails.

I know my AIS internet access used to offfer these various packages which were normally time rather than data quantity... so you could get a single day unlimited, or 3 days or 7 days, these are good for filling those gaps between trips.

The rate is always better for TCs than cash.... but I have noticed that the differnce seems to be a lot less now.So is the damned rate too...
