I have just finished a stay of just over 3 weeks at the Irish Rovers and am now home again :cry , i had an absolutly fkin great time at the Rovers. The rooms were spotlessly clean and i mean spotless...well when i managed to get out of bed on time to let the maid in (thats all night drinking for ya)..... When i fist arrived i was greeted by Ian (the guy who has taken over from Pat...Pat was also in the bar) well Ian gave me great welcome, really nice genuinely helpfull guy, he became more of a friend than "the guy who is 1/2 owner of the Rovers", really is a top bloke. The other owner i went drinking with is Dom, another top guy and he also became a friend, i had some good drinking sesh`s with the pair of them. From the invite to go on weekly pool league, bar crawls to the dark side/ bang chang and invites to go out drinking with them in local bars/gogo`s, it was just like going out with a bunch of mates...this is the kind of host`s they are...top people the pair of em. The bar is a great place to meet new people aswell, Dom does a fine mix of tunes, a few people staying at the Rovers and myself stayed in the bar some night`s because it was a banging night...some really really fit as fk girls in the bar dancing on the pole.... and the uniforms they wear...fewwwww!!!! The girls are a nice bunch, they never ever hassled me for drinks or other customers, but they were all nice....i would be sat there and just feel these hands massaging my shoulders...turn round and a sexy rovers girl is there smiling...but as i say they dont hassle you for drinks. Alot of people would call in the rovers through the day/night for a few drinks and stay for a whole lot more, so it really is a great place to meet people. I went with one of the girls from the bar on different occasions, i never had a problem bringing other girls back from the rovers girl i went with or any of the other girls in the bar. Would i stay there again?....fkin right i would and will be, its a really friendly nice place, far better than the big hotel shit i stayed in before....would i recomend the place....just book it you wont regret it!!! Phil

Hi i have stayed at the Vic, it was a couple of yrs ago now, they had just bought next door i think, well there was alot of noise going on and vic said he was doing the rooms up in the main place and new rooms next door, Vic was a top bloke couldnt be more helpfull, the thing i didn`t like about the rooms was the orange paint...may sound daft but reminded me of something from the 50s. As has been said, alot of people staying there will be guys with thai women, you say your wife is cool and easy going/open minded... that open mindedness may be put to the test being on soi 6, there is a back door way out onto the quiet soi so you dont have to do the soi6 run everyday... There is No lift and walking up those stairs may or may not be your thing when your frying with the heat. I did find the rooms clean and the food is great, as i said there are new rooms...all orange The Sabai Inn on Soi 2 maybe easier going for you and your wife, handy on the baht bus route, a bit more mellow, easy to get a baht bus (they go past the front door every couple of minutes), a bar complex at the end of the soi, rooms are big... but if you book ask for an outward facing room... it also has a lift. link.... http://www.sabaiinn.com/

I just got an e-mail from netflights.com and they are doing cheap Qatar flights £359 other airlines available and prices vary. You will have to be flexible with your dates by the look of it, checked the site and only certain dates are available, but if your flexibe then maybe get the bargain. September, October and November dates available...also December. I have flown with Qatar before, the flight/airline i thought was great...the stop-over was one crappy airport, but who cares if your after saving a few ££££. Anyways i hope this is of use to someone, i already booked months ago, maybe someone will get a bargain good luck.

I will be calling in the flb now and then too :) Whats the Irish Rovers like for 24/hour access to room?, i have been known to drink very late into the night..... one time i over did it a bit, started drinking at dinner time and only got back to my room the following morning at 11am. Took a while to recover from that one and i dont intend doing it again. But i do like to drink till fairly late on.

Ive stayed on Soi2 a few times, i liked the location....bars at one end of the Soi near big C, loads of Baht bus`s going past and a bit more mellow place to stay....hmmm i did find myself down Soi 7/8 drinking quite regular but enjoyed staying at the more mellow Soi2, good place to stay...baht bus`s go straight past Sabai then down beach road to walking street if thats your thing.

Whats Septemeber Like in Pattaya??
newbie34 replied to jogsuk's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
this will also be my first time in patts in september, i usually go october and may... no girls around then????? i`ll have to buy an inflatable lucy doll -
Good price, but the cheapest i can find on ebookers is £524 flying out on a thursday and returning on a wednesday in october.... this is with Qatar airline, flown with them before liked the flight, but Doha for a stopover was a doom hole, but i would go again if the flight was the cheapest,... not much into paying over the odds for leg space or music extras Hope someone can find the price you have seen on that site.
-
Stop-over flying out is just under 5hrs, flying back its 1 hour 15mins, for the money its worth it to me and the dates i fly. as i said before i had an 8hour stop over with emirates one time, because of the dates and times i wanted. good luck to all with your cheap flight finding just think thats just over 13000bht i saved, maybe more looking at prices rocket up
-
Put your dates into airline-network and the price came up as £616 maybe they will give you an e-ticket? why not just fly business class and have all that leg room and luxury people seem to love... its a bargain..£1940 !!!!!!!! Seems like you are flying on the cheapest days, good luck on getting it sorted out.
