Very good use of the flaps to slow it down to landing speed. GR.

Sorry to hear that Adam. Could it have been an "inside" job? GR (the Welsh romantic).

Had a great afternoon yesterday with Adam plus two other BMs. A very good tour and well worth it to see something a little different. GR.

Thanks guys but no luck. I'm using IE8 and a ethernet broadband connection so not particularly slow. I have Flash 10 too. What I have noticed which may be the same problem is that I can't watch some video links. The video plays but I only get the sound and a black screen. Seems like same same to me. GR.

I've tried numerous times Martin. It must be a software issue with my connection so I've contacted the photoguide to see if they can suggest what might be wrong. Thanks, GR.

When I go to the site http://www.pattayaphotoguide.com/ I don't get the street guide anymore just a black window. Anyone else having problems or, even better, know what going wrong with my connection? Thanks, GR.

Here's the BP link to the story - here I've been looking forward to using the A380 so I may be using Emirates in December if the price is right (cheap Charlie alert GR.

I usually buy boxed purple Orchids at the airport on my way home. Do you do something similar that you could pack for me to check in as hold baggage? GR. -

I stayed there a few years ago and the room did have cockroaches. GR.

I normally stay at the Queen Vic but thought I might try the Lord Nelson for my short break next month. Anyone with any experience (good or bad) of staying there? : GR.
-
Thanks JK, will look into it. I know that site MD but I like to ask for recommendations. Cheers. Anyone else? GR.

In December I'm planning a short stay in Hua Hin before coming to Patts. Can you recommend a good basic hotel similar to the Queen Vic on Soi Six i.e. close to the action, affordable but reasonable quality and guest friendly. Thanks guys, GR.

Oman Air seem to be the middle-eastern budget airline this year (at least for summer flights). The flights operate with A310s, anyone used this service or flown with them before? What are they like? What's the service and food like? I assume alcohol is available. Cheers, GR.

I agree, good pub. Never eaten there but a good venue for sport on TV (rugby & cricket in my case). GR.

Stayed there last Dec., again in July and booked for Xmas. I can only vouch for what every has said (except wifi as I don't take my laptop). You've heard the saying "Location, location, location", well for B800 what more could you ask for (and no joiner fee). GR. -
I booked LHR-BKK-LHR out 13-Dec, in 30-Dec on Eva Air for £477. The way airfares are this year I thought that was an excellent price and booked it as soon as it came up. I booked with Major Travel. GR.
-
As the first suitable RRC bus is not until 10am I was wondering if there was anyone else travelling on the flight who may want to share a taxi to Pattaya.
-
I'm coming mid-July and that's the best I can find for LHR/BKK. Do prices come down closer to departure for July? GR.

Does anyone know of any opticians that can put your current prescription lenses in a machine to determine the prescription to make a new set? My current precription is for reading but I still use my old one for driving and as I only have one pair I thought it would be a good idea to have them cloned. Cheers guys, GR.

Thanks guys. I flew Ethiad this Xmas booked in June for £416. Found them very good (apart from the 8.15am departure). I booked on expedia.co.uk but the best they've currently got is Emirates from £572. To get the best prices do you need to leave it as late as possible as with lastminute.com? GR.

Thanks for all the help with suggestions. I used the Stone Oven overlooking Beach Road most nights. A good selection of Thai dishes, very reasonably priced and good taste. A meal and a Singha for around B100 was just what I needed. GR.
