  1. Should be easy, all the girls on Soi 6 know it. Glyn.
  2. I'm with you on this one Stuy. No glasses and no fag in the other hand so definitely not our Eddie. GR.
  3. Thanks, I'll keep my eyes on the forum. I'll be in Pattaya 25-Dec to 10-Jan so hopefully there will be something for me to join. I'm not looking for a room but thanks for the offer. GR.
  4. No such luck. GR.
  5. I should have added that when you board 50 minutes before departure the ICE (in-flight entertainment) system is live so you can start viewing films or whatever on the large seat-back screens immediately. GR.
  6. I'll certainly be up for some of this action the end of Dec and Jan. When and where are the dates for the crawls posted? I know Dec. will be very busy so if you need to be in Patts to book a place at thr Rovers it's likely to be full before I arrive. GR.
  7. Airbus A380-800. GR.
  8. Boarding was fine but I selected my seats with that in mind. They start boarding about 50 mins before departure, I was in the very back for the first leg flights (row 84) so first from Economy to board. For my second leg flights (to BKK and LHR) I was in the very front section (row 50) i.e. just in front of the exit doors so convenient for a quick getaway. This section boards the same time as the back section as they use two ecomony doors as entrances. GR.
  9. Fantastic aircraft. Ecomony seats (on Eimrates anyway) are very spacious and comfortable. Legroom is supurb as there's nothing under the seats in front of you and it has the biggest seat back screen I believe you'll find anywhere. The only minus for me was the windows were like looking out of a tunnel as the thick walls to insulate the outside sound made it difficult to look out and down. A very small minus in my opinion. GR.
  10. I had this choice for my Xmas flight based on cheapest available (Air India also featured). I booked Gulf before Jet because - 1. Jet use B777 from LHR then B737s for BKK leg, Gulf use A330 then A340 (both wide-bodied) 2. Jet pilots have recently been on strike, possible further disruptions? 3. Stopovers are similar but would prefer 2 x 6 hour flights via a Gulf state than 7.5 then 4.5 via Mumbai GR.
  11. Have any BMs got any recent experience of this hotel? From their website it looks like a good, cheap hotel but some of the comments on here regard it as dirty. Are these comments still valid or are they now a little dated and the cleanliness has improved? Thanks in anticipation, GR.
  12. Thanks for the replies. Looks like somewhere I should consider. GR.
  13. How big are they? I like an in-room safe to put my small laptop while I'm out. Are these safes behind reception of safety-deposit boxes? GR.
  14. Have you seen this - this post? GR.
  15. Missed you on Chat Ceb. Get your password sorted and hopefully we'll chat tonight. You're missing some good sessions (like last night thanks to Asco). GR.
  16. Obviously the normal punters subsidise the lounge goers. I'm planning on using the lounge between my A380 flights this week so think I will get value for my money. GR.
  17. Have a good one Adam. Unfortunately I don't get there until the 25th so can't join the party but will help you extend the celebration to the GoGo bar crawl the following week. GR.
  18. So there's now no liquids after immigration. Damn, no more whiskey and coke then in my own bottle, have to pay Swampy prices. GR.
  19. I'm only 5'8" (1.73m) so I don't experience the cramped conditions that you lanky guys do. I must admit I do appreciate the split flights as 10 hours plus is very tiring but 2 x 6 hours I find much more comfortable. GR.
  20. Was looking at a trip in March during the rugby 6 Nations and just booked with Qatar for £387. Booked direct on Qatar so could select seats too (but not meals for some reason). Arrive Fri. 12-Mar and leave Sun 22-Mar so Welsh games at 9.30pm Thai time on both Saturdays. GR.
  21. As I said, I'm happy with the stop overs to get four A380 flights in. Just booked with Qatar for March @ £388 with similar transit times as you. GR.
  22. I'm looking forward to using it. I'm so keen I've got 9.5 and 7.5 hour stop-overs in Dubai to get 4 flights on it. Departing 24-Sep - can't wait. GR.
  23. I was there early Oct last year and virtually everyday come mid-afternoon there was a hell of a thunderstorm. It lasted maybe a hour or so then usually cleared. It also rained most nights. Look here. GR.
  24. Cheers, mine's a pint. GR.
  25. ABC, as easy as RIP
