Yes a great movie as originally shown but I can't recommend the redux version. Platoon and Full Metal Jacket are my other two faves about the Vietnam War As to the last point....we still have not learned that if you fight a war you must fight to destroy the enemy. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, nation building...all no win situations imho. Imperial wars, so to speak.
