so, what is going on there?

with a very bad knee and other assorted old sports related injuries I try to minimize how far I have to hump it. I do have a backpack like suitcase and a backpack as carryon but the Skytrain stairwell is a bit farther than I want to deal with. How far is EVA (which is at the far end of the departures terminal from the auto entrance) from Skytrain's BKK terminal? During my days in BKK in October, I might just take the train to BKK just to check it out with no luggage. But I only have a few days in the city so I am not sure.

Unless you stay right outside the stairwell to the ST, you are going to have to get to ST with all your luggage in the heat, humidity and maybe rain. Taxis are not that expensive and just as fast if not faster.
