Oh, I don't know if you need to really sit and think it through. Seeing a guy being another guy's bitch - and all the other violence perpetrated by men on men inside - may have enough of a visceral effect to make your mind up for someone without them having much of a thought process! Vick did his time and I applaud his success and hope he has earned his lesson. I love dogs too. His crime was a difficult one to forgive, for many of us, but he is entitled to a second chance. I will never forget his crime, but to be abandoned by all of society after sentence is complete is a guarantor of worse things in store for both him and the society. I say give him a second chance. We may never forget but we can forgive! Your critique of Vick's play this season is astute. Under Andy Reid he has developed the discipline needed to succeed with his skills. A time in detention did not hurt his maturation process - a true make him or break him environment. I doubt Mr. Vick will ever transgress again. If I am not mistaken, Maury Chaykin was in this movie. He passed away earlier this year. He was rather young - early to mid 60s I believe. I always enjoyed his acting.

The trip before last I had brought a quad band unlocked phone (for setting up online banking with KasiKorn). I went to 7-11 near Suk 33 in Bangkok and managed through the lack of language skills on both sides to get a sim card, however, upon arriving back at the hotel, I realized i had no minutes. I went back and although the manager spoke no English and I speak no Thai, she managed to figure out that I needed minutes, told me how many baht to pay, rang up the sale, took the receipt and charged my phone for me. What a doll! I kept all the receipts and 1-2-3 sim card packaging so that on my recent trip I could at least point to what I needed. 7-11 in Bangkok still provides. I can't speak for Pattaya.

Joe, the Red Sox were decimated by injury after injury this season. That is not an indication of the health (no pun intended) of their franchise. It is about money too but there are teams with money who are not successful here. Big market teams like the Mets and Cubs come to mind and the Dodgers made the playoffs last year and the year before and stunk it up this year (they were favored to win the division). Their last WS title was 1988 if memory serves. The Red Sox have done a great job righting a ship that was broken for many many years, winning championships and making money. Liverpool could do much worse for a partner.

I think Texas can beat Tampa but I am not convinced the Yankees can get by the Twins. O say Twins go to the series. In the NL, I have to root for my Giants but I think Philly is the best team in the NL. Did you get a chance to watch the games today?
