Your thread title and post question do not match. I voted for who I thought had the best cuisine not what I prefer eating. There is a differance. I prefer mostly American faire but I do not believe it is the best cuisine in the world.

I get innoculated for hepatitis A & B Hep A is food handling related Other food pathogens besides the afore mentioned water and ice are sanitation related or food preservation related. Use common sense. I often got mellons and such off the food carts in Bangkok. They were freshly cut. Here even in the states, ecoli & salmonella are problems - there is always a risk in the best of circumstances - but you can't live life in a jar - oops botulism there, hehe. Healthy adults may get ill from ecoli and salmonella but rarely seriously, however Hep A is not a good thing and is preventable by a painless innoculation.

Big Budha is worth going up to. Walk across to the shrine on the other hill. The view of Pattaya is spectacular. It was an ugly day but you get the idea.

It is a long but not arduous walk, if you like walking. The speedboat is the way to go. Don't post public complaints to the board attached to the bar. Send a PM to the person or persons that can help you resolve the problem. For instance, if I had a problem with something at FLB, I would as a courtesy to Martin not bring it up here and put him in a bad light to the members here. I also wouldn't be bad mouthing him or his bar on other boards because I would try and resolve the matter privately with him first. The OP had a problem with 1 girl. Sitting in the bar and watching for some days, the OP came to a conclusion based on circumstancial evidence that it was a widespread problem. Not once did the OP bring it up with Ben or Larry privately. He whined about it here. Has he PM'd Soi7? Has he tried to get to the truth and/or remedy a wrong to him or a larger problem that could affect any of us? Not to my knowledge. There are mature and responsible ways to deal with problems that are non confrontational and usually bring satisfactory results when reasonable people put their heads together. Now if the OP has taken all the steps (step one should have started in Pattaya, not here) and he is met with what amounts to being told to go fly a kite, then he has every right to vent to us. The OP did none of that to the best of my knowledge. I have been in Secrets one time. I have no vested interest in standing up for them. In fact I am not per se standing up for them. This is about how to handle problems in a mature and constructive way. IMHO the OP has not. He is making the whole bar look bad when in case it may be an isolated incident. If it is a larger problem, he didn't do a thing while there to try and find out if management was even aware of the problem, let alone willing to address it. Now it has gotten to the board vs board level. Frankly, if I owned a board, I wouldn't allow this kind of criticism of my bar on my board either. It is not the right way to handle it. It is not the right way to resolve problems - by getting everyone worked up. Perhaps the OP was just trolling. If he was he succeeded.

It is bad but you always know what you will get! and yes at the Royal Garden Plaza. I actually prefer the restaurant on the top floor there where you can get all sorts of different food.

That reminds me that the best steak I ever had was in West Berlin - it was from Argentina. What restaurants please? The thing about chains (Sizzler, McDonalds, KFC, etc.) they are consistant around the world! I had a Sizzler steak last August. The meal was just like here in California. But the steak at Beefesters was comparable.

It is not confrontation to mention a problem to management. His failure to act means that someone else may well get burned also by the same girl. Instead, the OP puts out an avoid Secrets type post.

Another thing that bothered me was that there is no mention in the OP of the girl's name. The post just paints Secrets with a wide brush. He had this experience with one girl and seems to witness a trend without any real knowlwdge.

Sure, but he did nothing to solve the problem. He just left it for others to deal with. Warnings are fine but he had a responsibility to see it through and didn't. He just complained to us. That left the problem for others to deal with.

I booked through EVA's website at the last mention of a discount using MC. There were no specials like that listed on their site and my use of MC made no difference. How does one actually get the discount?
