  1. A few years ago they changed a rule about how long they can leave you sitting on the tarmac waiting to take off. Before 2009 I don't believe there were limits. "Airlines must return planes to the gate and let passengers off any time a flight is sitting on the tarmac for three hours. Airlines must provide passengers with adequate food and water within the first two hours of any tarmac delay."
  2. I was hoping for wet t-shirts. Now I'm hungry. Looks good!
  3. Agreed, there was a crime committed here, imho.
  4. According to the lawyer, the man has a broken nose and sinus damage and requires reconstructive surgery. Clearly excessive use of force. https://www.usatoday...ence/100409492/
  5. Watched the first episode and like it but got sidetracked to other shows. Time to get back into it.
  6. There was no reason that this could not have been addressed before they allowed boarding. They could not get the count right. When the dust settled there were empty seats. At least that is what I heard today. Can anyone verify?
  7. When I travel I have a carryon that has a change of clothes and everything of importance. If my main luggage is delayed or lost I a OK.
  8. Watched "Silence" last night. It is the story of 15th century religious purges on Japan. A great story concerning clashes of culture, especially religious.

  11. According to the Contract of Carriage, United can refuse to transport or has the right to remove passengers from the aircraft at any point for any of the following reasons: (These are just a few of the listed reasons.) Passengers who appear to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs to a degree that the passenger may endanger themselves, another passenger or members of the crew Passengers who are barefoot or not properly clothed Pregnant passengers in their ninth month, unless the passenger provides a doctor's certificate dated no more than 72 hours prior to departure stating that the
  12. It does not help them when their videoed behavior is backed uncategorically by their president. Investors are reacting to the video and the head of the airline is talking about how proud he is of his employees.
  13. Yes I heard an update moments ago. UA started with offering a bunch of money for volunteers and when nobody took the offer the picked people at random. Three left quietly but the doctor refused. One witness said the doctor was unconscious when taken off. The UA president is backing his employees.
  14. It appears per news reports today that the paying passenger was removed for a UA employee. UA really screwed up. Even the right to remove a passenger is not 100%.
  15. Season three of Better Call Saul starts tonight. Finished Black Sails season four last night.
  16. Leicester played well early, even had the lead at 2-1 but Everton with Lukaku were too strong. Leicester has turned around the season since changing managers. Hopefully Everton can keep Lukaku after the season.
