  1. As in all Thailand Songkran great fun ,but in Pattaya to many water cannons ,is far better when getting up close with water bowls and a nice talc to the face
  2. It was in Nong Kai ,sorry can not remember name.
  3. Last night 11c in Khon Kaen ,more colder than we had in the winter months ,also now its raining a little and dark temp 16c at 10am ,
  4. Its colder at moment in Khon Kaen than last Dec and Jan ,I think since living here the coldest night last night ,hit 14 c But just a little rain and about 23c at the moment but cloudy, with a wind breeze But could be worse could be down south Koh Sumi ,3 metre waves ,rain for days ,airport closed,no ferries running ,floods and forcast land slides in many south areas. The weather forcast is set to start improving this coming thursday.
  5. England Rugby winning the world cup in Ozzy ,I was there watching Jonny go go
  6. I never try to get a sun tan since living here in LOS
  7. I do not try for sun tan in Pattaya but I seem to have a little sun tan all year round ,maybe because i live in LOS. Compare to 3 years ago I seem to like cloudy days now ,or I just walk under shade where i can find Even on my holiday last week in Pattaya and Kho Chang ,i now sit on a beach under shade.
  8. Well spotted ,think the 500000 bhts is a good price ,I know a place near place was sold for a lot more. I was in the place last night ,not many customers ,but what i viewed the place has potential ,should need 100000 bhts to upgade i think. Could do with floors tiling ,a rethink how to use the front area, which has a large area,ie places for eye candy to sit , Also it is in a great location. If any new owners make changes a little and make it a lady bar and keep beer prices lower than the big night venues near by, ,sure with this location will do well in my opinion. Also every year seeing more and more falangs come to Khon Kaen . As for the rent per month at 20000 bhts month ,been told the owner of the land might even take less. But i think any body is looking for a bar with potential it is well worth the visit to view this bar. The only negative thing i can say is at the moment there is no working kitchen ,the back room has good space for this ,but with no kitchen appliances. So I have just made a judgement of the bar size it self ,the good location ,the potential to make good changes and I think Khon Kaen will grow very much in the future.
  9. Phil Do you own this bar ? How old is the bar It looks a good bar and I can not understand why i have never been in and did not know about this bar. I have been living in Khon Kaen 3 years and do go out most week ends. Do you get many falangs ,or is it all Thais ,if all Thais I can not understand why falangs do not use. Whats the drink and food pricing like compare to others ? ,as no seeing video i will visit this bar in the future. For Info ,Rockies bar just been sold new owners start next week. Also a bar I like called My Bar has also be sold ,new owners start after the 30th March. Sorry I am retirement ,do not want to work again ,but looking at the price for this place ,looks ok,I shall to come in this week end to see for myself the atmoshere of your place Thanks for the information ,i may have found a new place to have a good time here in khon kaen
  10. John you know the place is a shit hole haha You have done it again ,now i will no longer be able to book at short notice . I was looking for room sep and oct for wold cup rugby week ends When you coming back for the rugby as i may now have to share your room haha
  11. The fish sauce ,it smells terrible
  12. The TV programme HAY HA on true vision ,it makes me cringe so much ,but my thai daughter loves it
  13. I was told about this at the imm office ,also now i understand what the post was about thanks
  14. woooooooooooooo think you guys gave him a hard time ,he is only giving information and whilst trying to make money on commision. If you are over 50 years and have required income ,just apply for extension due to retirement to your non o imm visa cost me just over 4000 bhts ,see my thread what you need to do
  15. Yes you are right ,thats why i did post to help others ,showing some mistakes i made haha Other Info The only ppl i know which use the high price agencies to do all the work is ppl who find it had ,or can not proof they have the required income. So if you have the proof of income do it your self ,sure make a good saving
  16. Not sure we are talking about same thing. I was talking about extension to visa due to retirement not about the non o imm visa I think you can have a single non imm visa ,apply for a retirement extension before the 90 days are up, and have less than 30 days left on that visa For a multi non imm visa ,you can do as many 90 day boarder runs as long as the visa has not run out,you can apply for retirement extension any time as long as visa has not run out ,but remember you must have less than 30 days on your last entry stamp.
  17. Soon be 3 years that i have been living in LOS and im still enjoying living the dream
  18. haha soon be 58 ,but you feel as young as the lady laying next to you ,so feeling very young for my age
  19. Well after 3 visits to my city Khon Kaen imm office ,I now have the retirement stamp in my passport . So I do now not have to leave Thailand every 90 days ,just do a 90 day reporting at the imm office in Khon where I live. Total cost to the extension to my non o visa due to retirement was just over 4500 bhts . 1900 bhts to the thai imm office 2356 bhts for a letter for proof of income from the BKK British Embassy 3 visits to khon Kaen imm office 300 bhts totoal for taxies Next year if rules stop same haha, should be able to do with one visit now as i know what is needed. So what is needed and where i went wrong. As I am not married I knew that i needed in thai bank 800000 bhts year or a income of 65000 bhts month or combination of the both. What happen on my first visit. I took far to much information to the imm office ,so officer said what I needed PassPort with a non immigrant visa stamp Copy of passport showing stamps of entry to thailand also showing visa informatiom. 1 off passport picture Proof of income ,either show thai bank book,or a letter from embassy ,last 3 months income must be shown. Proof where living in Thailand. Officer said very easy to show above. What went wrong with my first visit I did have a contract for my rented house ,but I did not have copy of thia id who owns the house. Also I did not have correct information about the house number and who owns it ,owner had this information. Also my proof of income was not excepted ,even though I had a sign letter from my HSBC Bangkok manager showing I had the income ,as said before will only except as proof of income a thai bank book or a letter from embassy. Obtaining a letter from British Embassy was very easy ,as all i did was sent them details of my balance of my thai bank account also information of a SO which I set up for £1500 which will be transfered from my uk account to my thai account every month. I did not have to go to BKK all this was done by post I also contact my rented house owner who now live in Australia who then sent me all details by PC to me. What went wrong with my second visit to imm office One thing went wrong ,imm officer said i had to many days left on my entry stamp to Thailand ,can not give me a retirement stamp till i had less than 30 days left. My Third Visit I was told my house contract for rented house should be in my name not my Thai lady name ,as we was not married. But said as I did sign the house contract as well as my thai lady signing he would accept this only this one time and said the next year house contract should be changed to my name. Well it was a little hassle obtaining a retirement stamp ,but was worth it ,also I know more now than i did before. So I hope posting this will also help other BMs who are looking into this. The good thing was not expensive to do this ,I know some agencies will charge you from 20000/25000 bhts to get a retirement stamp for you. Also I do not have to fly home every year back to the UK every year for a non o imm visa and no more 90 day boarder runs. So im a happy man now

  24. I have just found out Pattaya do have a Rugby Club Just wonder if anybody knows about this club also has anybody been to Irish Pub Jamesons and how near is this place to Soi LK Welcome to the official Pattaya Panthers and Panties website. Rugby on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand depends mainly on visiting teams for local tours and tournaments such as the now famous Chris Kays Memorial Rugby Tournament (formerly the Pattaya 10 The Panthers and Panties also tour and grace rugby pitches throughout Asia. Our spiritual home is the fantastic Irish Pub Jameson's and many of us can been seen there at Nova Tablee, drinking and generally entertaining everybody with our wit and humour (or maybe not).
