I stayed there a couple of years ago, never again. I was in the expensive building, they took the money for my two week stay on arrival so couldn't leave early. There was no hot water at all in my room for the entire stay despite complaining repeatedly. Room was next to the lift which made the 7eleven door opening noise all day and night. Didn't rate the reception staff. And every day the pool area was full of noisy cunts and people smoking non stop.

Very cheap flights available now on ......

I am looking for a return flight from Bangkok to Heathrow but can't find anything cheap. Tried the QATAR website and the price is 39,000 baht approx £630. Spidey. -
Robins Nest is an excellent restaurant and very close to Areca. If the main menu looks expensive, look for the 119 baht special menu. There is one on every table but the waitresses try to hide it from the customers. First night get a baht bus down to walking street and go to Happy gogo before the first show starts at 9pm. Spidey.

Satit sounds ok but the new English program costs about double what BEST charge and is not yet proven. Best alternative would be REPS (Rayong English Program School).Cost here is not much higher than BEST. The reason I didn't send my son there is because of the travelling to Rayong and back. Spidey.

I agree the food in Kiss is good but don't go there because of the fucking hawkers. Spidey. -
I think I know that house. I enquired about the price a few months ago, and 15,000 was more than I wanted to pay. The house next door rents for 10,000 and looks nicer, but some guy books it every year for 6 months, so no good to me. Anyway, I think the location is excellent, so if you don't mind paying that much, go for it. I finally got what I wanted close by, 3 bedroom house for 12,000 so I am now happy. Spidey.

My favourite is the Chicken Dinner 99 baht. Big piece of chicken, roast potatos, mash and small helping of mixed veg. Best value meal in town IMO. Spidey. -

The food at Kiss is pretty good, however I have stopped going there due to the hawkers selling watches and dvd's, disturbing me every minute. Spidey.

Years ago, Myself and 2 mates travelled up to Norwich to watch our team QPR play. It was a brilliant trip, drinking plenty on the train plus QPR won 3-0. (sorry Dale couldn't help mentioning that) Anyway, during the game we bought some drinks downstairs and headed back up to the terrace, but were stopped by a steward who informed us that no drinks could be taken on to the terracing. I asked the steward why, and he told me that the week before Cardiff supporters were pissing in their empty plastic glasses, and throwing them over the home supporters. Spidey.

Two years ago, Pattaya Immigration refused to accept my application to extend my marriage visa because I couldn't prove the funds came from abroad. So the next day I traveled up to Bangkok with my wife and newborn baby, and no problems there. Last year I got my brother to send the funds from the UK, and he is doing the same again this week. However, they introduced a new rule again this week, saying the funds need to be in the bank 3 months prior to application. If this is true, I may have to go to Bangkok again. Spidey.
