I just drove past the oval and there are many many fans of both teams streaming out. Raining here in December? Very rare but I am grateful

Wow has she grown!? Have a sensational day. Cya in February mate.

The Aussie team have been on top for 20 years and kept me amused. The Poms have been for 2. Just be grateful and happy for that. I just got back from an evening walk past Adelaide Oval. Lots of carcasses and zombies wandering around after a big day of drinking in the Sun. Our local bars and restaurants will be grateful. Being close to Xmas now and a fine 32c evening, there are crowds of funseekers out everywhere. Think I'll stay in and contunue saving for my next LOS trip. At the end of the day, I dont get emotional over an overpaid group of primadonnas (both teams) playing a game o

I went outside and came straight back in. Its a toasty 35c ot there now with worse to come. (I'm praying for rain). Australia f'd up badly yesterday. Helen Keller would be able to score on that pitch. Still I believe sport is cyclical and its our turn to be a bit crap. I still think the selectors should be the first against the wall.

There are many many Poms living in Adelaide so the visitors all have somewhere to stay. Brits are playing well. We Aussies are trying to lose the Ashes at the selection table it seems to me. I might go for a walk past the Oval tomorrow.

Niche Market: Polish Dating in Pattaya Bars
ozijeff replied to Gabor's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I've been to Poland a few times but have only ever heard one couple talking Polish in Phuket. This doesnt mean there are more around but IMHO Thailand isnt a prime destnation for Poles at this stage. I have a female friend in Warsaw I chat with on the net. She stated she has never considered going to Thailand because of the difficulties in getting a Visa. Poland isnt on the Visa on arrival list. If here are Polski chicks available, I too would love to know where in Thailand they hang out. Gabor, just for interest sake, what do you have to do Visa wise when you come to Thailand? -

Qantas is waiting until all 380 RR engines are checked and cleared. I believe oil leaks have been found in a few others. When fixed, they will be up in the air again but no set date given. -
Having flown with both, personally I rate Sing above Malay. Just MHO.

Walk around whenever you can and take a couple of asprins to thin the blood to reduce chances of clots.

Agreed Big D. I always use SingAir to get from Australia to LOS. There is a bit of urgency for my American mate to commit so we can get a cheap Singair flight up to LOS in Feb.

Thanks Hub, i had forgotten about Cathay. I think he will be using AA, United or Qantas to get to Oz. He is using the many many flyer miles his wife has for the trip. (Various carriers) If only she knew! I'll flick him off an email with options and post on here for interest sake which way hey ends up taking. Thanks again. PS Yet another option is Thai Air from Bkk to Frankfurt then Singapore air to JFK ..... options options options

Great info, thanks guys. It seems my mate will get from JFK to Sydney using flyer miles. We can get up to Thailand cheaply enough from here. Its getting from BKK to JFK the best way that will be the issue. Almost all the replies indicate heading back across the Pacific. Is there a reason for this? I would have thought that BKK to Frankfurt with Thai or Lufthansa then continuing over to NYC across the Atlantic would be quicker? I am happy to be corrected on this. An around the World fare would be the perfect option if he wasnt using flyer miles to get to Australia. I have used

Thanks Yorta, Thats useful info. In Oz I am using Nexium and if Omeprazole is easily available, I can go for that while in LOS. Didnt make the connection before to Viagra/Kamagra use. Thinking about that, it makes sense.

Thanks for the assistance so far guys. I am very comfortable with flights originating out of Oz but the USA is a different ballgame. Coming to Oz before going to Thailand complicates things as its not a straightforward USA to Thai return fare. He will be flying back to NY around 8 or 9 of March.

A good friend of mine from NY is joining me for his first Thai trip next February. He is coming to Australia for a few weeks then we are flying up to Thailand for 3 weeks. What I need to work out is what is the easiest / fastest / economical way for him to get home from Bangkok. Flying Bangkok - Singapore -Sydney - LA - New York would take about 36 hours and be horrendous. Bangkok - Frankfurt - New York seems much more human. ie Thai or Lufthansa to Frankfurt then Lufthansa or Singapore Air to NY. Has anyone done it or have have ideas/alternatives? Thanks in advance.

Thats ok, I dont expect Australia to make any inroads with Hockey either.

Um, BigD, I thought you are Jewish? How does this eating pork blasphemy sit with your family?
-
Thats a bit of luxury! The should walk it... up through Africa, Jordan, Syria, Turkey etc, then a nice walk across Europe. All kidding aside.. how fucking relentless will the British press be on them?

No make that Poland 2 England 1 Germany 2 Then ironically enough the German goal scorer is subbed off and replaced by ..... a Pole!
-
Amazing, a German actually scored a goal! Poland 2 England 1 Germany 1
-
Dont they sell soccer balls in Canada?
-
Poland 2 .. England 1 . I am not remotely bored! And then England ripped off. Controversy again!
-
Update ... Poland 2.. England 0

1st goal to the Pole!
