Finally I can get involved again! Phil Silvers

Paint it Black also one of my favourite tracks of theirs too. I have so many favourites from the Stones, they are an awesome band but I only liked their early stuff, I wasn't keen on their work after about 1972. Today's track choice:

Awesome track from the Stones. Man I wish I'd lived through the sixties.

I finished reading L'Assommoir by Emile Zola. 8 out of 10. A brutal depiction of the vicissitudes of life and poverty in the slums of nineteenth century Paris, as a formerly prosperous family descend into abject poverty and alcoholism. Naturalism at its rawest. I am currently reading Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes. I'm currently about 140 pages in and this has to be one of the most superfluous novels I've ever read. Large amounts of text to explain very little events and if I'm honest it's boring. I will however finish all 760 pages as I rarely let a book defeat me even if I don't lik

Chernobyl Diaries (24 hour rule) Good luck trying to find an actor you know in this, I've had a look and don't know any of the people in any of the films he has starred in, which are mostly Australian films. Hopefully one of our Aussie brothers will know........

I think The Clash were a punk band and their first album is a punk classic. I understand what you mean though because during the years they were active they explored lots of different genres and the Sandinista! album is where they were most experimental. However, apart from this track and a few others they're the only ones I like on that album which is probably my least favourite of theirs. I prefer the first album and Combat Rock. They are for me, one of the greatest and most influential bands ever and I love their music.

Van Gaal OUT I can't take any more of this and it's breaking my heart to witness the lows that United have sunk to. If you read the statistics in this article it shows just how bad things have become. It's gone too far now and enough is enough. The longer he stays the more he is dragging this club down. Step down Louis rather than allowing them to cause you the indignity of sacking you, if you had anything about you then you would do this because everyone has had enough of you and you have lost the support of all of the fans now. For the respect of the club, just fuck off!

Robbed? You must have a different interpretation of what that means in football because the generally accepted version of robbed is when a controversial decision that goes against you costs you the game and I can't remember that happening? My heart bleeds for the scousers. If you don't take your chances then you get punished, simple as. Hardly a convincing win by United by they scored and Liverpool didn't, that's the end of it.

Van Gaal buys himself some more time because of his, let's admit it, very good record against the big clubs. Please prove me wrong Louis, build on this and let's go on an unbeaten run in true United style for the remainder of the season. Show us why we wanted you to be the manager in the first place.
