  1. Reminds me of the old joke: "How do you circumcise a hillbilly? Kick his sister in the jaw!"
  2. So. Siam, you been to Pattaya? Welcome to the board. Tell us about your trip, highs and lows (if any), that sort of thing. In complete contrast I have just come back from 4 days in Swansea, Wales. No comparison really but it does make you appreciate Thailand all the more.
  3. I only know one guy with a memory worse than me. I can't remember his name though.
  4. Alan I'll be in Patts in January. If you are still having a problem with this girl I am happy to play the role of "mystery customer" and try to barfine her. I would let you have a full report the next day as to whether she is worth keeping. My fees are very reasonable. Seriously, I have never been in your establishment (I have no idea who Steve is) but will seek it out on my next trip. Hope your problems disappear as quickly as baht in a monger's pocket.
  5. If she won't barfine that is up to her I think but she should not be soliciting lady drinks from people who think they can take her out. I think the system needs to change. Green labels are for girls who will go with customers and red labels for service staff who will also sometimes go with customers or sometimes not. This is confusing and leads to annoyance on the part of customers who are misled into buying drinks for nothing except a smile and thank you. Perhaps there should be a new category of black label for girls who will not go with customers under any circumstances and then it is up to a guy whether he wants to buy her a drink or not. At present, make this girl wear a label indicating she is not a goer or keep her behind the bar out of bounds. If she is attractive then you do not want to get rid of her because she will be able to bring in customers who just want a bit of eye candy while having a drink. I have read many posts from guys who buy girls drinks then find out the girl is not interested. It leads to bad feeling and may result in the bar losing customers long term. It has to be stamped out although in the final analysis it is always the girl's choice if she wants to go with a particular customer or not. I dn't think there is an easy answer but my previous suggestion would help, I think.
  6. I'm in England (sadly) and the board was running real slow yesterday (19th. Aug.) I had to log out before reading the latest posts. It was just not responding. Had a couple of tg's like that last year. Seems ok today though.
  7. Sorry you had a bad experience. I suppose it could happen almost anywhere but I will definitely avoid Wet and Wild until I read that it is under new management. Thanks for telling your story.
  8. Just booked my flight this afternoon with Royal Jordanian Airlines flying out of Heathrow on 17th. January and returning on 12lfth. February. £386 only. Birmingham is handier for me but it is £100 more expensive. £20 or so for a bus to Heathrow and back ain't bad but it does add a few hours to the travelling time. My previously only trip to Pattaya was for one week on the back of a week in Bangkok. This time I aim to spend three weeks in Pattaya and a week in Bangkok at the end of the trip. Roll on January and a nice combination of sanuk and sabai. Can't wait!
  9. I have read all the posts in this thread with some interest. My curiosity is aroused but I hope its more than just my curiosity when I pay my first visit to the Club. I will definitely have to check it out when next in Patts, but I may sample the Bangkok branch first as I like to spend a few days there before transferring. I hope to be thetre in Sept./Oct. and I will be taking my camcorder on this trip so will be posting a new video or two. I have never tried Soi 6 either, having spent the majority of my time in the FLB bar and the Music Factory on my last short trip. I can't wait to explore a little further afield next time. Life is just wonderful, ain't it?
  10. I stayed at the IQPH a year ago last January for my first trip to Bangkok. It was expensive and in my view not worth the money. Also my room was on the 34th. floor and had curtain windows. I spent most of the time spreadeagled against the wall. My vertigo would not allow me to look out of the window or get anywhere within 5 feet of it. I didn't take any TG back to the room because I was on holiday with my then girlfriend (stupid bugger!). This year I stayed at the Regency Park, also on Soi 22, opposite the IQPH. A lot cheaper but still not my cup of tea. Service was poor and they do insist on a joiners fee. The hotel was very noisy too, all the rooms open on to a central atrium so you can hear people banging doors all day and night. A new hotel/apartment block was in construction next door too although there didn't seem to be much building going on. It may be about finished now. I will try the Nana next time for a week before heading off to Pattaya for a couple of weeks. I read on the boards that everyone should try the Nana at least once so if I can get in I will. It's handy for the Biergarten and of course NEP although my favourite, Soi Cowboy is a fair walk away. In short, I could not recommend either of the aforementioned hotels for different reasons.
  11. If you see a brunette sitting between 2 blondes what is she? The interpreter.
  12. Thanks guys. Sabai Lodge looks good. I will give it a try or possibly Queen Vic if former is fully booked. See you in Patts!
  13. I stayed at the Beverley Plaza in Pattaya in January. Although I had booked a double room they still asked for a joiner's fee of 300 baht every time I took a BG back for the night. (Every night, in fact.) I notice on the boards a number of members complaining about this hotel policy and although it doesn't add a great deal to the cost of the evening's entertainment I think its a rip off when a double room is already paid for. Is there any survey or list of establishments not asking for an additional fee? Any info. would be helpful.
