40 residents of a gypsy site are killed in a catastrophe. They all turn up at the Pearly Gates and are interviewed by St.Peter. " I don't know if I can let you in", he said. "I will have to ask God" God says, " I am not allowing all that lot in here. Tell them I will let ten in. They will have to sort out which ten are most deserving." A minute or two later Peter contacts God again. "They are gone!", he says. "What? All forty of them?" "No, the gates have disappeared!"

That's the lovely Hitomi Tanaka. Plenty of hardcore vids of her on Empflix and X Videos. She's getting a bit old for porn now though. Most of her good stuff is a few years old now.

The Canadian Identity. Australian Cuisine Democracy by Robert Mugabe

I spent 6 months working in Russia a few years back and actually developed a liking for cabbage soup. It is an acquired taste, a bit like many other things we wonder how people can eat. The cuisine is a lot more varied than cabbage though. If you get the chance try Russian style roast pork stuffed with garlic and prunes. They eat a lot of fried chicken too but I think they kill the birds too early as they are usually very small. Or maybe it is the sub-species they breed over there, I don't know. You could easily manage to eat two whole ones in a sitting with some bread, and cabbage of course!

SP3 is merely a consolidation of all the updates released since SP2 so there should not be a problem. It just puts them together and in order and deletes all the separate ones. Some of the updates released since SP3 are another matter. They have fucked my system up and now I get all sorts of error messages and some programmes won't operate properly. Time for System Recovery I think! I don't know why some companies can't get their software right. They have been in the game long enough. I recently bought a new HP printer (C5180). It's great while it's working properly, trouble is it doesn't very often work properly! The software is a shambles. I have only had it installed three weeks and there have been two software updates already and whether it works or not is still hit and miss.

Pattaya Beer garden update - 15 June 2008
Dave16 replied to PattayaPete's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Thanks for the continuing story of the PBG and I am pleased things are going well for you. It will definitely be among the first ports of call on my next trip, hopefully in September although I have not booked anything yet. As for pool, I enjoy a game or two but I suggest you only put a table in if there is plenty of room for it and the players will not be cheek by jowl with diners or drinkers. Good luck and I wish you every success with this venture. -
Pattaya Beer Garden – 1 week old.
Dave16 replied to PattayaPete's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
I really do wish you every success with this venture. I won't be in Pattaya until September but I will be sure to pay a visit or three. The Beer Garden in Bangkok was one of my favourite places but seems to have gone downhill recently plus the girls are asking silly money. It is about time Pattaya had an equivalent venue at reasonable local prices for the ladies. Once again, well done and good luck! -

Uh! Can we assume from this that you don't like them very much? -

I used to run Norton Anti-Virus as it was the best known name in the business so I figured it must be good. It was crap! As it is so widely used most virus creators can find a way around it and do so with alarming regularity even if the definitions are kept up to date. I now use a free programme AVG and haven't had a problem in two years. I also use PC Tools free firewall and that has been fine too. -
Pattaya Beer Garden – Progress Report
Dave16 replied to PattayaPete's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Thanks for the update and I am pleased things are going well for you. I don't yet know when I shall be back in Pattaya but I shall certainly pay a visit or two to your new place. Any news on opening hours yet? -
Busiest and hottest time in pattaya
Dave16 replied to raptormansam's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
July and August are generally considered to be the "slow" season in Pattaya, simply because it is very hot and most western visitors prefer to go when it is cooler. November through to March are considered the busy season. No matter when you go there are plenty of girls looking for customers so the heat is a deciding factor for many, not the availability of ladies. Of course hotel rooms are cheaper in the "slow" season but flights may be more expensive as it co-incides with the peak European holiday time. -
I stayed there for a week in February and can't fault the place. My room was number 21 on the top floor but that wasn't a problem. The rooms are large and fully equipped with tv, stereo and dvd player and a constant supply of hot water. The walk-in shower was huge and would easily accommodate 6 people although the most I ever had in it was 3 including myself. It is ideally located for the attractions of the Soi itself and is only 10 minutes walk from many beer bars at the top end of Second Rd. where I spent a lot of time this trip. Vic and his staff are friendly too and very helpful. The girls are great fun and enjoy a good laugh. I shall certainly stay there again.

Agreed. I used to log in every day and there was always something worth reading. For the last couple of months there has been little of interest and few trip reports. Another BM was complaining some time ago about the increase in the number of useless "one liners" that add nothing to the collective fund of knowledge and are not even entertaining. All the boards are the same. It's not just this one. I suppose it's up to all of us to either do something about it or refrain from logging on. When a little time has elapsed since a visit to LOS it's difficult to find a lot to say apart from responding to other people's posts. I think the main responsibility lies with those who have just come back to submit a TR and with ex-pats who can keep all of us informed of new developments. Some (many) boardies don't submit TR's for some reason so we should be grateful for those that do. I am flying out on Wed.16th Jan. for a month trip so watch this space. I will try to post a TR asap upon my return and do my best to make it interesting, but that depends on many factors. On the bright side, you should take a look at the Queen Vic board. That one just hasn't taken off at all and is dying on it's feet. We can be grateful for what we have here and try not to be too critical.

A woman decides to have a day shopping. In one store she sees a lovely dress at a reduced price. It fits her a treat so she buys it. She now needs new shoes to go with the dress so she trails around a few shoes shops until she finds a pair she likes and as luck would have it, they are on sale too, 25% off the marked price. She meets her best friend and they have a coffee together and decide to check out the new bargain store which has just opened. They load up with lots of new tops and skirts and sexy underwear. The woman receives a call on her mobile to tell her that her husband has been involved in a bad accisent and is in hospital. She is upset about this but is having such a good time she thinks another hour won't make much difference. She is having one of her best shopping days ever, bargain after bargain adds to her already full shopping bags until she can carry no more. After about four hours she thinks she really must go to the hospital to see her husband. She arrives and is met by a female doctor. The doctor notices that the woman is fully laden with shopping and says, " I see you have been shopping. For the last five hours your husband has been in intensive care fighting for his life and you don't give a damn. All you think about is yourself, you ought to be ashamed." The woman breaks down in tears and is clearly very upset. The doctor puts her arm around the woman's shouder and consoles her. "Don't worry dear. I was only joking. You husband died three hours ago. Now, show me what you bought!"

I arrive on 17th. January. I will definitely look in. I have never been in your establishment before so will look forward to giving it a try.

for you that have never been to pattaya
Dave16 replied to cowboy's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Cowboy, we have never met but I sincerely hope things work out for you. Whether in Pattaya or not, live every day as it comes and try to have a little fun if you feel up to it. Some of us reading your posts could be dead tomorrow through heart attack, car accident or whatever. The point is, none of us know what awaits just around the corner. Although the prognosis doesn't look good at the moment, people do overcome your problem. I hope you will be another one. All the best mate. -
Is your bar easy to get to from Soi 2? By baht bus or taxi? I will look you up on my next trip in January.
-
I don't think there is much chance of you getting involved in any serious violence apart from pissed off bar girls throwing a wobbly. The main problem in Bangkok is scams of some sort. People stop you in the street and ask you to pick a ticket for some promotion or other then tell you you have won a prize. "You are lucky man. We so happy. Pick another one". You win a weeks free stay in a top hotel. Only problem is you have to go to the hotel to claim your prize and it turns out you book for three weeks and get one week "free". The same scam goes on all over the world. If you are approached, just smile and keep walking. The other famous one is when asked "Where you go?" Say you are going to the Snake Farm. "It is closed today." They then try to get you to take a tour with them which will mean to a gem shop or some other clip joint. Don't trust anybody you don't know. With a bit of common sense you will not have any trouble. Even on Sukhumvit at 4.00am you are safer than back home probably, and the scenery is better!

Try "Travelbag" in your search engine. I booked with them £386 to Bangkok with Royal Jordanian Airlines. Budget only of course but I am a Cheap Charlie.
-
I flew with Qatar in January. No problems at all and some very cute air hostesses as well. The food was a cut above the normal airline fodder. Yes, I can recommend them. Why not try Travelbag when looking for flights? I got a £386 deal with Royal Jordanian Airlines for January 2008 although it was booked some time in advance. I don't remember whether Doha was dry or not. I only had a short layover anyway so it was not a problem.

I did suggest to the webmaster some time ago that he include a page dedicated to Soi 6 instead of having the reviews scattered about in the alphabetical sections only. Maybe he is re-configuring the site to achieve this . He seemed to think it was a good idea.

Welcome to Pattaya Talk. You can find out just about anything you want to know here. I recommend you begin with a few trip reports. This will give you a real flavour of the place if you are a newbie.

An Englishman a Scotsman and an Irishman are working together on an oil rig in the North Sea. They are tired of watching the same DVDs after the shift, playing the same board games and eating the same crap food. The English guy has a couple of weeks shore leave coming up and says to his pals, "I will bring some treats back when I return from seeing my family" After his leave he returns with some fresh steaks and a couple of cases of real ale. He takes out a parcel which turns out to be a Monopoly game. After the rules are explained the guys begin to play and really get into it for a few weeks until eventually they tire of it and it goes on the shelf with the dominoes and playing cards. Jock the Scot has some leave due so he promises to bring something back for the guys too. When he returns he has a box of smoked kippers and a case of Glenfiddich malt whiskey. After the guys have enjoyed a meal and a drink he produces a game of Scrabble which they play that evening and every evening for a month until this too becomes boring. Murphy is due to go back to Ireland for his break and he makes the same promise to the other guys. Two weks later he appears with a 56lb bag of potatoes and three crates of Guinness. The fellas have baked spuds with a variety of toppings and down some of the black stuff to wash it down. "So Murphy, what else have you got?" Murphy digs into his pack and produces a large box of tampons. "WTF are we supposed to do with those?" the guys shout. "Well now," says Murphy. "Don't judge till you know what it says on the box. You can play tennis and go swimming and do all sorts of things with these!"
