There is a game before that, too. This is the game schedule. Sunday Jan 15 0430 New Orleans at San Francisco Sunday 0800 Denver at Patriots Monday Jan 16 0100 Houston at Baltimore Monday 0430 Giants at Green Bay .

Curious. You think a US pro sports game or series can be fixed these days? They couldn't fix it properly in 1918 when the players were chattel and got a few hundreds bucks a month. Several college basketball fixes lie exposed. So what I'm curious about, presuming it's not a joke that flew over my crewcut - how do you fix US pro sports so they stay fixed? And have you got some sort of speculative numbers you think would make it worth while -- dollars I mean? I am totally cynical that this is possible. I don't believe it's possible to fix it and I can't see any way that it would be worth the

Current odds, Thursday afternoon US time, Early Friday in Thailand. New Orleans over San Francisco 3.5, 47 points New England over Denver 13.5, 50 points Baltimore over Houston 7.5, 36 points Green Bay over the Giants 7.5, 52.5 points The New England game makes me drool, who the heck is ever two certain touchdowns better than the opposition in the NFL?? The points are VERY high, it seems to me. Like, no one in the whole NFL has a defence? .

Illegal foreign-run businesses to be targetted
joekicker replied to CheshireTom's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Good idea. You never did discuss the subject, which was endemic corruption. . -
Exactly, and the next day it was renewed for another year. But for a day nobody or somebody else owned it. And whoever took it over still has it, and is messing with it. As of 12 Jan morning, this website is NOT working, although I would expect it back shortly, as the registration *has been* renewed for one more year. . .

I'm on a mailing list that sometimes dishes up the scripts of the late-night show monologues in the US. Americans, skip the next paragraph. For those who don't know, every weekday night about 10 or 11 o'clock in the US, all the big networks and a couple of small ones have "late night shows" which are essentially variety shows, with interviews of stars and wannabes. Some of them get a pretty big audience. They go on until 2, 3 even 4 o'clock in the morning. Inevitably they start with a jokey monologue by the show's host. Here are what Americans got on Monday night, according to my email

Define "unfair". A person joins the board, heads straight for a specific discussion about a certain business, and posts his very first post, which is a somewhat contrarian opinion to the standard opinion. He gives no background, no personal anecdote. In this case, he didn't even claim credibly that he had been in the Penthouse, or in Pattaya. He claims to know quite a lot about the hotel, for which he obviously would have to know quite a bit about Pattaya. Yet has never darkened the doors of the forum before and gives not a bit of background showing we should trust his brand new, very differen

NFC has the potential "big games" this week and any other year everyone would be doing their shopping, snow-blowing and carpet inspections during the AFC games. Damn hard for anyone but pseudo sports fans to ignore the drama of the Teeb-Brady match though. Once again, Broncos will probably get the highest TV ratings. Anyway, by hook or crook, it's in the US Saturday night prime-time slot, the only prime time game again. We're down to 8 teams. Any of them can win. I think Houston is pretty weak compared with the other 7, but lucky for us, none of the four games will be decided on paper (or

And don't forget, the bad mean sun got in their eyes and the grass was slippypoo and the insensitive crowd cheered for the Broncos and.... and.... it wasn't COLD enough!!! Not to mention the horrible time-zone change, not even a MONTH to adapt to that. You're embarrassing your entire gender. Big boys don't cry. Or whinge. Or justify. The game's over. Your guys lost. Your turn to suck it up this week. Deal with it like a man! .
-
Yeah, it's sometimes useful to know that all personal foreign transfers go through Bangkok Bank, so if you deal with them, you just make the one payment. Other banks generally put on BBL payment AND theirs.
-
FWIW, over quite a few years, I think you are being kind to this bank. When possible, steer clear. I think it's the owner that makes them that way, but whatever... they don't get many customers because of their friendly, helpful service. .
-
Sure you did. For those who don't recall all the credit you gave the guy: Very gracious. I was more interested in how much credit you gave yourself. I'll this, though. That record OT pass saved your boy Willie McGahee. His fumbles nearly DID cost the Broncos the game. If the Steelers had won, McGahee would be looking at begging for a walk-on next year. Now he gets another chance. Reckless? How so? Are you not the same VicVegas that described "losing (his) way into the playoffs?" Earth to Vic: The Heismann Trophy awards ceremony is over. The result of Andrew Luck's

I'm actually, seriously, stunned that you don't instantly recall the highly publicised, front-page, non-suppressed, high-interest case that I'd expect any self-styled, self-described alleged non-pseudo sports expert to go, "Oh,yeah, right." At LEAST Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf aka Chris Jackson. At least that one. Even if you had had to google the details, it could have prevented offensiveness and the appearance of being fatuous. .
-
Still pretty sure about this? Basic problem: Tebow is a winner, Luck is a loser. That's a big problem when you're trying to sell tickets or your current brand of PR horsepoop. Do you really, truly (speaking as pseudo-expert of the week) think Elway would even have the guts to SUGGEST this? . Does it offend you when sour-grapes pseudo-experts latch onto a player, declare him a total loser.... and he isn't? . Dalton's at home for the rest of the winter, having thrown one TD pass for each team in the game he played. Tebow, who had to win a game against the likes of Pittsburgh, went

It's final. Tebow time! All he does is win. .
-
Heh. You call that a go, you thin-skinned git? But I promise to try to remember your sensitivity. "Try". .
-
That's a typo. He means Q3. Denver starts out Q4 with a field goal, two-score game again, 23-13 Bronos ahead. EDIT. Pittsburgh gets a field goal, then a TD. Two minutes to go, score tied, the completely useless Tebow (only 286 yards so far today) has the ball, against the world's greatest defence. EDIT: Steelers can't get it done. BigB fumbles. BigB sacked. Overtime. EDIT One play, Tebow passes for a touchdown, Broncos win. Vic, leave that dog alone!! .

Absolutely. The second thing: The difference between "boys" and "girls" in writing. .

One game to be settled, but next weekend's games are set. Pattaya times: Sunday Jan 15 0430 New Orleans at San Francisco Sunday 0800 Pittsburgh/Denver at Patriots Monday Jan 16 0100 Houston at Baltimore Monday 0430 Giants at Green Bay

Yeah, poor guy. Statistic of the Day: Big Ben is the first player ever injured in the history of gridiron football!! What bad luck for the world's best defence, eh? Without the quarterback, how can they possibly play defence against Tebow? If anyone reports cruelty to animals in the Rayong area this morning, specifically kicking dogs? That will be VicVegas. .
-
Hope you didn't go to bed after that fabulous, important first-quarter report? VicVegas won't be fit to type for a couple of weeks, I guess. Good thing I got the Excuse List for him. .
-
Yes. There are two, three very recent threads on this. Go along to a bank with your passport and a card from your hotel. If the first bank says "no" go to the next one. Technically you cannot open an account, in reality you can. .
-
You sure? Looks funny lIke that. .

Whoa! Almost as embarrassing as having a go at grammar while beginning a sentence with a small letter -- and THEN not putting quotes around the referenced word in the rant. That's just me, but that's why I don't have much of a go at people for grammar, because probably I'll eff it up, too, and look worse. Grammar was my mother's mother, and she's gone to the big spelling match in the sky. .

Still trying to get by with an iPhone 3 and cutting off the YouTube URLs halfway, that's where! Talk about hardship! .
