High End Watch repair in Thailand
joekicker replied to ALANPEN's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Why not? Breitling does it. There was a huge watch display out in the middle of the mall with twenty or so watch case with stuff from IWC to Harry Winston Opus models and Breitling that was simply incredible. -
The next question is why you'd bother packing a DVD player from England. Why not treat yourself to an 800 baht one from Thailand that will work with all disks from Thailand? .

You are using a cheap phone call service where the "1" doesn't "take" when you press 1. You can use a regular phone at the huge charge, or you can use Skype, which has a little auxiliary micro-screen that pops up where you can enter the "enter 1" with a mouse click. Otherwise you'll never get to talk to anyone. Once you DO click on the "1" you'll get an English speaker, no problem. .

Slight, vital correction, not counting the grammar ones. If it is a locked Region 2 player then it will not play Thai DVDs - WHICH ARE ALSO LOCKED - Which almost no Thai DVDs are, but some definitely are Region 3.

It would be exactly the same percentage who can figure out where to buy a postage stamp, and for the identical reason. .

Some of us do. I said much earlier that the Giant who REALLY impressed me over September and into October was fat boy Uribe, who then proceeded to come through when absolutely needed, and made me look brilliant. But Rentereia is one of my very long-time favourites, and I well remember that very exciting Marlins team and their/his World Series win. Both of these guys are just smooth as silk and lovely to watch even when they're dogging it. When they get competitive, watch out. Right Mr "I Don't Like to Walk Anybody" Lee? The Marlins won in 2003, and I remember that Dave Barry column: Every six years, just like clockwork, the Marlins win the World Series. Cracked me up. .

You spelt "believe" wrong. They don't KNOW xhit. .

But it allows them to be posted on MLB.com, one of the most successful commercial websites ever. .

Good Series, but oh my how decisive. Giants showed momentum counts, that'd be my take. spike, NOW you're entitled to be a bad winner.! I remember the last time the Giants won. jeez .

Out of the blue, completely off the main topic, you stated: Actually, the most entertaining baseball is played in Omaha I didn't argue with that attempt to cram your opinion down my throat, or even mention that you tried to cram an opinion on me (and on all thread readers) as an absolute unarguable fact, since it IS your opinion and since to you it is unarguable. I simply replied conversationally and without a shred of argument that *I* preferred something different. Know what? I still do. It wouldn't occur to me to say my preference is better, let alone that it is "the most" or the best or the only one. I do think your claim that you have people on ignore is a hoot, though I don't get why you claim it. My way is a little different, not that I'd try to convince you it's the best by any means. If I want to ignore someone, I just ignore them. No buttons pushed, no posts made to show how I can't ignore them -- I just ignore them. Not everyone's cuppa, for sure, but it works a treat for me, so I'm just mentioning it. Actually, the last baseball thread you contributed quite a bit to, I did start. That was not too long ago, back when you ALSO didn't really have me on ignore. .

Don't get cocky spike. You've got lots of time to do your thing when it's over. They're showing 1950s kinescope in that song because there's not a lot, recently. I'm just saying. They say this Chinese guy Mr Lee can pitch pretty well. Or is he Korean? .
-
Anyone notice that this forum has the world's worst "ignore" function. Time after time, helpless and hapless posters are forced to read posts, in their entirety, from people they have SPECIFICALLY told the forum software they do not wish to see show up on their screens. That's the part that gets me is that the forum software doesn't let you skip past posts from people you have on ignore, you have to actually read every complete post of those people. Most forum software, if you put someone on "ignore", then you cannot, physically cannot SEE any post from the person you've put on ignore. You are totally unaware when an "ignored" person posts. But not this pieceaxhit forum software, no sir. You can't do that. "Ignore" means you are actually forced to read every post. Weird. .

hmmmmm. I'm very biased towards Triple-A. You could show me to a good college game, I'm sure, but I'd love to stick with the AAA boys, given my choice, which I do not have. .

Stargazer, we get it. .

I have underestimated the Rangers, but I can't see what THEY get going at this point. Their pitching is pretty average overall at best, and the Giant bats show that pretty well even without four walks in a row. At bat, the Rangers can't hit what they can't see. Their chances now rest on what the Giants CAN'T get going, and fail at -- mainly, Sanchez and Lincecum collapsing. You're absolutely right that the Giants got everything going in September, got total momentum. They're on a roll. If the Rangers are going to take anything, the Giants have to roll over suddenly. Anything's possible, sure it is. But as of Sunday morning there is almost nothing Texas can do except show up for the game and call on the Obama Gambit - hope for change. LATER: So the Rangers got PITCHING, finally. If they get some more, it will be a good Series. .

Exactly! Only an American League devotee could lament poor old Texas in a slump. I suggest Texas fans (Yankee fans too) haven't been paying much attention to that other league, where the scores aren't so high. There's a reason for that. When you can start Lincecum, Cain and then throw in that Sanchez guy as a spot-starter for the third game, I GUESS the Rangers' bats are going to have holes in them. There is some kinda pitching in the National League anyhow, but the Jernts are tops. Also, growler, you didn't notice the Texas pitchers gave up a couple of runs, eh? You think you can give up nine runs and beat Sanchez, Lincecum and Cain two, three times? Rub a lamp. That's the real surprise for me, is that the Giants can get 10 runs a game. Of course when your pitchers serve up 16 balls out of 17 pitches.... .

Gee. That is a tough one!! Was it Clinton? I feel sorry for Obama - the first US president to throw like a girl. sheesh. .

Define "public transporation". If it's bus, probably the best way is through Rayong and Chanthaburi -- or Rayong and up the back way towards Chachoengsao and Khao Yai, but veeing off towards Sa Kaeo. Going through Bangkok MIGHT be less hassle. Train, you must go through Bangkok. If it's taxi, then of course he'll go the way you want, and towards Chantaburi, then up the border is probably the best. .

Cain was able. Sorry. .

I'm not sure just what you mean. The mandatory third-party insurance required for every four-or-more wheeled vehicles covers NOT the driver and NOT the insured vehicle - that's the core meaning of "third party". It means passengers in the insured vehicle and anyone/anything outside the vehicle involved in the audience. If your car hits another car and it's your fault (or possibly no fault), then the guy in the other car gets paid from your insurance. That's what "third party" is. Negligence has nothing to do with it, as it's the vehicle that is covered, not the driver. If you own a car/pickup and you do NOT buy "additional" coverage, including first and second party AND more third-party you're crazy, that's my opinion. But it is not legally mandatory. Chris, I don't know "PVR", probably because I don't ride in Thailand and haven't for a long time. But third-party insurance for motorcycles, same as anything else - you are NOT covered, only the guy you hit is. In general it's very hard (not to mention cost) to get good vehicle coverage for motorcycles at all, and hellishly hard to get comprehensive insurance, i.e. first-party. If you don't know what you've got, then you definitely don't have it. .

Americans call it "the national pastime". But here's a very nice and short photo essay on what is really the international pastime. And hands up anyone who knew Hugo Chavez is a southpaw. .

I thought I was pretty good picking Atlanta last May to win something. I don't know ANYONE who thought that either one of these teams would be in the playoffs, let alone both of them, let alone the World Serious. The team that Bush built got where it is thanks to the collapse of the Angels. The Giants had a lot of help from their division's collapse, but they did win when it counted, at least. So when the two "not the best" teams get on the field, as you say, who the heck knows what will happen? I did notice that the Senators'.... er, Rangers' pitching coach looked worried from Inning 2 last night over Lee, so there was something wrong with him, I wonder what. Never mind, he'll be pitching for the Yankees next year, heh. In the meantime, I'd kind of like to see the Senator.... er, Rangers win this one -- literally the year the Yankees lost the pennant. (Before they were the Texas Rangers, they were the reincarnation of the Washington Senators. So that's a reference above to one of the greatest slim novels about baseball, The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant, which later became the Broadway musical Damn Yankees. Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets...) .

Not too helpful information for a person who wants to buy and consume them in Thailand. You can buy any drug in Thailand, really, but that doesn't mean you can expect reliable answers about the illicit markets in a public discussion forum. .
